#038 - Phoenix Forgotten: Coming in at 38 is the Found Footage Science-Fiction Supernatural Psychological Horror Phoenix Forgotten.

I’m “biast” (con): I hate Found Footage Films

SO I was completely shocked with just how much I enjoyed this one thus I absolutely hated the Blair Witch Project both original and remake and come format wise this was pretty much a clone of it only instead of the Blair Witch it's Aliens being investigated by 3 teens. Perhaps it's the documentary style added to the middle of this one making it less found footage than others that I liked or perhaps simply the story or both but I throughly enjoyed the ride.



#037 - Birth Of The Dragon: Coming in at 37 is the Martial Arts Action film Birth Of The Dragon.

I'm not a big Martial Arts fan nor have I watched any Bruce Lee films and had no interest in this one coming into it but it wasn't what I expected and as Critic Roger Ebert asked "Who could possibly be expected to care about fictitious Steve McKee and his quest to save an equally fictitious love interest from a likely even more fictitious crime boss?" ROFL well the answer is ME! I really liked Billy Magnussen in his role and was actually relieved that it wasn't just a Martial Arts film all about Bruce Lee. It's about Chinese mob-controlled sex slavery and in order to free the girl he's smitten with he has to get both Bruce Lee and Wong Jack to fight. In the process I became smitten with Billy Magnussen.



#036 - Kidnap: Coming in at 36 is the Abduction Thriller Kidnap.

Despite what critics had to say I truly enjoyed the ride and was entertained from start to finish. I liked the ending and I cared if she got her child back which made everything intense to watch.
