I HIGHLY recommend the 8-episode "Looking for Alaska" minseries. I couldn't sleep at all Saturday night so I found this recent show and I watched it in its entirety in one sitting. It is based off of a 2005 novel by John Green, which I plan on reading when I get the chance. I had no knowledge of this story coming into it beyond the Hulu description and I loved it. It tackles a lot of the same issues as 13RW but where 13RW goes too dark and over the top, "Looking For Alaska, is more tonally diverse, allowing plenty of time for humor even in the show's darker moments. It is an amazing story of friendship, class divisions and grief, and is overall much much more grounded than other shows that seek to grapple with the same subject matter.
It was so good with that one sitting, I am now rewatching, making sure to spend more time appreciating it.
