DISCLAIMER: Depending on how the rest of the game of David v. Goliath goes, I may totally change my opinion on this.
David v. Goliath either has no purple players or so little purple players that it has not been noticeable. A major criticism put towards MvGX is the abundance of forgettable players. Of course we had heavy hitters like Hannah Shapiro, Adam Klein, Zeke Smith, David Wright, and the loveable Brett Labelle, but is feels like half of the Generation X tribe did not matter. Like who was Lucy and Rachel? Cece who? It feels as if even the smaller cast members of DvG have contributed more in the edit than the many purple players in MvGX. Bi and Jessica were probably the most invisible in my opinion, but they did go out of the game very early. There are some castaways on DvG that WERE underutilized in the edit but soon came and became a bigger part of the game when it was best (Alec, Allison, Davie).
