My Miscast Jury Votes over the Years

Sep 22, 2022 by noah_kondon
Super bored, on Adderall, and made this.  I'm usually a pretty solid juror, as I typically vote the person who's most deserving of a win and put personally feelings to the side.  But occasionally, I have gotten it wrong either via bitterness, friendship, or misinformation.  These are jury votes from my time on this site that I can remember casting that I've later gone onto regret after reflecting.  I assume nobody's going to actually read any of this, I was just procrastinating.

#AlaskanFiredragon over Thnksfrthmmrs or terose in manalord’s Virtual Survivor: All-Stars: Masterminds Vs. Underdogs (2015)

In the final 4, it was me and these 3. Julian, Tim, and I were in the same majority alliance all game, starting from the Masterminds tribe. At the same time, AFD had been an underdog the whole time. AFD had many friends on the jury, and it would have been downright stupid to take him to the final 3. Even though I felt I played a good game and I played better strategically than AFD. I was still nowhere near the jury threat he was due to the jury’s composition. AFD’s loyal allies made up nearly the entire jury, and he was almost guaranteed to win the game. However, when it came down to the final vote, Julian and Tim chose to take AFD over me, which made NO sense. AFD barely needed to do anything to win, and it would’ve taken an excellent FTC for me to beat them, so I was shocked. I was so pissed about this stupidity that I actively chose AFD over them with my jury vote, even though he probably played the worst game of the final 4. In the end, I probably should have voted for Julian or Tim there while calling their decision stupid but actively trying to prevent an AFD win.

hatersgonnahate over (The dude who cut me I can’t remember his username or find it) in joey65409’s Big Brother (2015)

After running the game all season and having a final 2 with haters who I basically controlled, I managed to get us both into the final 3. We were with one other dude who was not a comp threat but had been going against me vote-wise all game. I had run the entire game and was due to sweep a jury vote. So when he won the (I think the luck jury statements portion) Part 3 of the Final HOH. He made the obviously correct decision to cut me and take my goat I had dragged the entire time. However, I was SUPER bitter about this, as I had at least played with haters and proceeded to give him WAY more credit for the moves I made than he deserved. I made up that some actions I did were his idea, all to get him jury votes. It worked as I had a massive influence over the jury, and he won near-unanimously. But in retrospect, the person who made a move to get me out was much more worthy than the person who did what I said all game.

Justunreal over 2Beastly in MariahAnn’s Survivor: North Pole (2015)

Steve was my dreaded arch-rival in my time on the site. And in this game, I finally was able to beat Steve. I convinced a tribe I wasn’t on to blindside him for 16th. I was firmly in control until later in the game, there was a random ass comeback. Steve was just brought back into the game for no reason (This host was one of my first hosts on the site and, in retrospect, really bad). Steve proceeded to take me out and run the game to the finale. Taking an inactive to FTC who could only be bothered to post one sentence. However, I turned the jury against Steve, and he lost to the inactive 4-3. I should’ve voted Steve over the person who did literal shit. However, I was distraught over the comeback still.

Christian_ over YoundAndReckless in Gaiaphagee’s Survivor: Montegro: Idol Island (2016)

At the merge, Christian and I were stupid enough to fall for the dead fish trap Stoner set, and we lost our votes, couldn’t play immunities, had a jury vote penalty, etc. In retrospect, that was a really dumb decision after being super influential pre-merge. Post-merge, everyone treated me like dirt as I had 0 game agency. Eventually, Christian and I realized that to be able to get rid of our punishments, we had to go to Redemption Island and come back. Both of us volunteered. And while I flopped and lost, Christian got back in and made FTC. I ended up voting Christian over Erik out of solidarity. Mostly because Erik didn’t talk to me at all post-merge, and I felt like Christian and I bonded over making the same stupid assed decision. I probably should have voted for the best gameplayer, Erik, who wasn’t stupid enough to fall into that trap. But doing that at the time would have been almost admitting I was undeserving of the win had I made it to the end. I regret this one less though, because from a social perspective, Christian managed me better than Erik in getting my jury vote.

Path over Jxhn in ThePug's Survivor: Norway.  (2018)

This is the most brain-dead jury vote I've ever cast. But it's also not entirely my fault. This season had a stupid merge idol twist, and the tribes would like only swap/merge when one of them was used or a tribe got to 2. So, while making it to 9th place in an 18-person cast and being one of the last 3 on my tribe. I still didn't make the merge, but I was a jury member, as that was set at the top 11. So I was never on a tribe with any of the final 3. But Path and I did have a pre-existing relationship. When we talked on call, he told me how he was running his tribe and in charge. After the votes were read, I discovered that Path was utterly delusional and that JOHN had actually run the game. In fact, playing a mastermind-level game. And I cast the one jury vote that denied John a perfect game. I've apologized to John multiple times for this. Entirely on me that I let Alex bias me with his information.

BritishRomeo17 over gethann in thewinner and Fobbyiyg’s Survivor: All-Stars (2020)

This one is iffy for me. I planned on voting Ethan, but Hali had a great FTC and got me thinking. I went back and forth on this vote multiple times. Eventually, I decided on Hali due to me perceiving their games as equal but seeing Ethan as more of a dick. I also felt Ethan didn’t deserve to win after not being a reasonable juror on the first season of the series we played together. If I had to go back, I’d likely give the slight edge to Ethan’s game, and the fact that he probably should have won the series already kinda factors in. But, this one is less regrettable despite my being one of the swing votes because Hali played really well also.

Sorry If I forgot any, these were just the ones I remembered.  And I’m also sorry to the people that I should have voted for.  But, I’m sure none of you care anymore as it’s been like 2+ years since all of these games.
