how minors having 'internet families' with people much older is weird as fuck but i dont think its the_kid's fault at all so hopefully he doesnt take this as an attack. i just always see this on tg and it raises an eyebrow

i see both sides bc like my internet friends mean more to me sometimes then my real family
I mean, maybe it sounds weird, but from my experience (I have a handful of people on here who call me mom) it's just something kind of cute and fun, they call me mom, I defend them when people are being rude, sometimes I say something "maternal" like "hi honey, how was your day?" It's pretty harmless, it's just a way of connecting with people. I think that is a lot better than any form of inappropriate conduct, like if said minors were calling adults their wives or something.
cheritaisdelicious i think this is very fair. i've just seen people abuse their status as 'internet family' before which makes me wary at first but despite the beef we've had i know you would never do anything remotely harmful like that
