Finallyyyy, first portuguese song on here. And what a song, this have 4 of my fav portuguese artists, namely Slow J that is simply amazing. What Slow J makes... I cant describe it, he is just my fav artist ever...
Basically, this song is about persisting, looking for a goal in life and assuming that one day we will have our victory, no matter where do u came from. This song has a lot of references that u prob would just understand if u were portuguese (not just because the song is in portuguese lmao) This songs aproaches the hard work people coming from colonies are forced to if they want a stable life, also have a lot of references to the national anthem and hundred of references to the portugal soccer team lmao
Im a soccer fan, its my favorite sport, and its rlly important over here and i just cant be indiferent to this song. This literaly started with this quote:

And now im gonna explain why this so meaningful to portuguese people. 2004 was the year we lost euro playing at home. The whole nation was together and people say that Portugal never got so united as in that year. But yesss, we lost on our first ever fifa/uefa final and we were beated for an underdog, greece... I was 3 years old at that time so i cant remember that specific game. However i have grown up wishing i could live to see a moment like that and that come in 2016 ( 4 + 12 = Carnival xd).
This is one of my happiest moments in life and that game had a special meaning. It was against france and they were playing home the same way we did 12 years before. However this time we were the underdogs. All this euro could be a movie. Before the final every single french thought they were winning the game. They even got pics of the winning bus for the celebrations lmao they were talking bulshit about Portugal in newspapers, socials media, everywhere...

And this what Portugal did in that game. The odds were against us, Ronaldo (THE FUCKING BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD) got injured after 10 minutes... We could resisted until out time and there was when Eder (this dude was a meme and anyone wanted Eder on the national team - im so happy this ended with him scoring the goal at the only game he played on the comp lol) showed up and scored the most important goal in Portugal history.
Im crying rn lmao I was watching that game in the middle of a crowd in my hometown in the middle of my friends and the moment the ball enters the goal... Eish... The crowd gone crazy... people crying, people screaming, jumping, singing.... that was so beautiful and we celebrated for like a week. It is a special feeling. I just want to have the opportunity to celebrate this more times, everyone deserved to have this chance because it is a unique and rare feeling...
This songs means a lot for me being portuguese. I have no idea if u can get my feeling but at least i hope u can get the whole message. Never stop. Keep trying and u will be succeed. Even if u dont achieve it yet, keep trying, many times it take years and if u stop now u will never get what u want. If u want to be happy, be happy, if u want to visit some country, work for it, keep trying. If u stop u wouldnt for sure. I believe that is worth it to fight for our dreams. Even if u dont get the goal yet, the journey is worth it and u should be proud of it. So keep trying!
