I feel like he will need to add a LOT more "report" buttons. One one the profile, keep the one on blogs, and add them to mails and PM's in games as well.
I'm not sure how the current "report" button on blogs works but what it SHOULD do is give an entire transcript of the blog AND the comments on it to the mods, even if the blog or comments are deleted.
This should apply to mails and PMs as well, it gets sent directly to the mods
This would eliminate the need for SCREENSHOT PROOF... which was literally NEVER proof to begin with because of how got damn easy it is to fake it
and i think it would take a lot of frustration off the mods/public for grey areas on who should be banned/not banned based on "proof"
i still feel like there's nothing that can be done about things that happen over skype... and y'all would literally just have to use the BLOCK FEATURE!
additionally i think randomize would have to come out and clarify exactly what violates TOS and what punishments are for what crimes...
Make lemon a mod randomize. I know she used to be a bad girl but she is reformed now. Okay, maybe she isn't. But I'd rather live under the autocracy of lemonface than the governmentless system we live in now.
The only time the mod sees the report is when it’s been reported enough to be deleted. Every user has automatic mod points based on their activity reporting blogs and once that blog was reported enough times by users with points it would be deleted and we could see it but if only 1 person without the points to remove it reports it nothing showed up on the mod panel.
There is no control over anything on a profile so if someone had porn posted on their profile mods had no way to remove it. Same for comments in games we could remove photos that are loaded but not videos or gifs. Basically the only mod Powers that exist are to remove blogs and photos blacklist users rednose users and ban. And if someone removed a blog before mod seen it we had no way to know if a “screenshot” was legit.
Literally brandonpinzu and I tried to change the punishments because we both felt like it was outrageous to ban someone for harassment when we could just use the blacklist for a day feature because that’s where harassment took place anyway. And even then we only wanted it to be for serious harassment not because someone was arguing and got their feelings hurt. We felt like a ban should be reserved for more serious things like cheating and porn but we were overruled by the non-mod 🤣
LOL i agree with you Justme i feel like past mods have been way too ban happy over every little thing when it could just be solved by the person being "harassed" filtering the person, or if it went to blogs the offender being blacklisted
i also hope randomize comes out with a much better way to detect cheating because sometimes that can be hard to prove as well, and if it's always a "he said, she said" situation it's too hard to resolve the issue
yes lemonface there is literally no way for mods to know if someone is cheating or just that good. I was in survivor once I saw with my own eyes someone that started a game and like 20 minutes later it saved I can't remember what game it was, but they were on my tribe and I knew there was no way they could be playing for 20 minutes and save a score above 0 yet I was being biased for banning them for cheating....like why would I ban someone on my OWN TRIBE that had good scores? Especially when they were the only reason we could have enough people merge to stay in control lol. That's the kind of stuff that made no sense to me, there should be a way to detect that when you're a mod otherwise it's just pointless and only there to cause drama. I don't see a reason for mods if they aren't there specifically to stop porn cheating and multis, the rest of the stuff is just childish games.
Also, the way he had the multi detection set up is ridiculous, you had to actually search a user to see if there was matching IP, like it didn't alert, matching IP's detected or anything, you just had to check each user individually. There was like a "user profile" page on the mod panel, you bring them up and then you look up IP. That should be something that is automatic, where it alerts the mod to matching IPs detected instead of you just randomly being told someone is a multi and having to manually check. I really hope randomize does something to fix all these issues, and finds someone that isn't a multi account to actually moderate....you would make a good mod lemonface

lemonface pretty much everything JustMe said, although I don't remember reported blogs showing up for us, maybe I didn't have this feature or I just forget, it's been like 4 years lol. Also don't remember apparently overruling Sue regarding punishments, especially since I wasn't a mod but alrighty then. You can even find the T_Mod blog that Ghoul posted where he explicitly stated I wasn't a mod and not to report things to me lol. Obv I handled little things here and there when the others were offline, but apart from banning koolness cause he was a prick, didn't really do much else.
Few more things:
- Different people had different settings available, so i.e I could add T$ (but I was capped at something stupid like 200 T$ a month rolling) and only Sue could IP check, which I can confirm was a fucking nightmare to use (she let us on her account to use it, because rando didn't trust brandon with it and I technically didn't need it lol).
- The mod panel is a mess, there's no real design/organisation to it. Mine literally had buttons all over place, text overwriting each other etc, I wish I had a screenshot.
- You could only see x amount of lines of history for a user, so i.e Halloween who had a shit ton of actions/notes on him, you could only see the 25 most recent or something.
- Mod points are so weird, there's a upper and lower threshold for if they do anything. I can't remember the exact numbers, but someone with 50 mod points could remove a blog instantly through the report button (this is how rando lost all his blogs) and someone with negative mod points could do fuck all. We could add mod points to a user.
I wanna say people had some funny notes on their profiles in the mod section. I'm pretty sure I used to abuse Sue on hers lol. Kandee_ did you ever see any of the stupid shit we did?
