Both sides have dug in on such extremes and it makes it hard for people like me who have a view somewhere in the middle
My personal view is that abortion should be legal for any reason the first 2-3 months and any abortion after that should be only in the event that it puts the mother at medical risk or that the baby has no chance at life outside the womb because I can understand the my body my choice approach until we get to a certain point where it’s hard to contemplate that we are talking about just one body because by a certain point in the pregnancy we aren’t just talking about one life.
By that same token the never abortion ever people can create an environment where mothers are put in danger carrying babies to term or being within a reasonable window to abort but can’t because of laws and are forced to go through with a pregnancy that they don’t want and are often times ill prepared for which creates extra societal issues
Or worst of all you end up with girls who turn to the worst kind of option sketchy illegal abortions that are horrible and dangerous all the way around (watch dirty dancing for reference)
We need to stop thinking about everything in absolutes and start communicating to work towards reasonable solutions that may not be perfect but anything is better than the extreme positions I’ve seen people take on this issue

I agree. I think a lot of people who say im pro life get abortion in certain circumstances. A lot of pro choice people are not ok with abortions being performed after viability.
