If we do get moderators *crossing my chicken fingers* what do we think about using the f word that rhymes with maggot. I personally am not a fan of it as I consider it a homophobic slur. I know a vast majority of users on here find the word harmless, and do not use it in a harassing nature. Should the moderators allow it, or should they outright ban all usage of it, or should they ban it only when it is being used to harass someone?
I feel like I in the minority of people who think it should be banned outright on sight all night

oh as someone who can reclaim it only ppl who can reclaim it should be allowed to use it
Context is important but at the same time I don’t use the n word on here even though it’s my slur to reclaim. It’s mixed company and not everyone needs to see that word.
Maybe if the party being called one reports it then look into it?
Moderators focus on SEARCHING for people who use this word, instead of actually banning predators.
Their scope of influence should be limited, and banning someone for calling somebody the “F” word on a site with this many problems is the least of our concern.
my opinion prob doesn't mean much bc i'm a str8 girl, but idt there should be an issue if friends just wanna call each other it. i think if it's meant to attack or cause someone distress is when there should be a ban
sjsoccer88 if a black person said the N word on here they used to get punished too. And this was because so many non-black users would say it and then claim they were black so they banned it altogether.
It's not the moderator'a job to check your race, and your sexuality alike. So i think F*ggot should be treated as a ban worthy slur.
Relying on context is a whole different problem because the more we relying on the subjectivity and opinions of moderators, the quicker we get right back to the chaos and problems of old mods.
As dumb as it should be, it’s best to go all or nothing
I think it is a slur and all slurs should be banned....maybe instead of banning the user they receive a blacklist so they are unable to post unless they become habitual.
