I Love Money 4 - Why They Lost Rulebook

Sep 17, 2010 by jamesbuc
imageIts that time again! Jamesbuc is back with his I Love Money analysis checking over each booted cast-member with his five-rule way to win (or at least reach that final few).

Those (Updated) rules are
1 - Have Allies, Keep Allies
2 - Keep Control of Your Emotions
3 - Strategize
4 - But dont OVER-Strategize
5 - Dont Trust Anyone 100%

Ill quickly give examples for all five rules.

1 - Have Allies, Keep Allies

HOW TO DO IT - Hoopz (ILM)
Hoopz played this one all the way to the end by grabbing herself alliances with the main Stallionaire alliance and taking side alliances with Megan, Toastee, Pumpkin and Rodeo. This essentially assured her safety regardless of if she was up for elimination or not.

HOW NOT TO DO IT - Buddah (ILM2)
Buddah failed to realise that when all is said and done, having people who you can give some trust to is KEY in this game, regardless of how weak they may be. He essentially threw person after person under the bus labelling them as weak yet really those were the ones he should have been trying to keep around.

2 - Keep Control of your Emotions

HOW TO DO IT - Anyone in a final few
Basically anyone in the last few should be of at least some sort of semi-stable mind. Usually the ones who are not are out early... Speaking of whom...

HOW NOT TO DO IT - Leiline (ILM2)
Leiline failed this rule in a big way. By 'emotions' we mean anger, we mean sorrow and most importantly we mean ROMANCE. Getting in any way shape or form 'romantically' involved with anyone is a big no-no. Even worse, getting romantic with somebody who backstabs you, rebounding to another guy THEN openly ditching him claiming to still have feelings for the backstabber WHILE also admitting feelings for the man she ditched? REALLY bad judgement.

3 - Strategize

HOW TO DO IT - Tailor Made (ILM2)
Tailor Made played an expert game in ILM2. He first checked every base by allying with BOTH Buddah and The Entertainer. When Buddahs awful gameplay became apparent, he stuck with the Entertainers alliance.
He then realised once Buddah was gone, he, along with Prancer and Cali, would be at the bottom of a large alliance and in trouble.
So quickly taking both Prancer and the remains of the old green team, he set apart and decimated almost all of the old alliance with key gameplay.
Then when the numbers thinned, he knew how to exploit a dislike on the other side, took that, avoided elimination again and made the finals.

HOW NOT TO DO IT - Rodeo (ILM)
Rodeo threw her chances of winning away when she openly threw a challenge that just didnt need to be thrown, her and Hoopz didnt have a majority vote PLUS Megan was the paymaster, somebody Rodeo have an alliance with.
So Rodeo was quickly put up and since Rodeo didnt have a clear set alliance, she was booted since it would cause the least chaos.

4 - But dont OVER Strategize

HOW TO DO IT - Tailor Made (ILM2)
Just read up there again. He made every move at the right time.

HOW NOT TO DO IT - T-Weed (ILM2)
T-Weed put a target on himself far too early. At the start of the game he promised to help take Buddah out, he went back on the promise and became a target simply because he made a big move too early.

5 - Dont trust anyone 100%
Ill leave this one for later :) The title should be apparent.
