To be honest

imageI used to be one of those “all lives matter” people. I was wrong. That’s not the appropriate thing to say and this is a good analogy I found #BLM #BlackLivesMatter
(Pic)

Everything going on is still crazy to me. Not only am I glad that important issues are being brought to the center of attention, but I’m also glad I’m able to understand more when it comes to white privilege and being an ally to the POC in my life. The world is still a shitshow but hopefully all of this going on helps make change for the better

racism will be over when they stop treating blacks other than white ...

Literally I show this to all white people and all “all lives matter” people because I said that too back a few years ago because I was ignorant to the idea of how we should focus the most affected and assumed it was segregating

One time when I was in a group of people someone said all lives matter and our other friend turned to him and said "You realize saying that is basically the same as walking into the cancer ward at a hospital and screaming there's other diseases too"

Kinda heavy but best analogy I've heard
Sent by Sludge,May 31, 2020
sludge yep! I saw an analogy similar to that too, just like how you wouldn’t scream about other types of cancer to a breast cancer patient.

My response to this though... The BLM protesters are actually throwing Molotov cocktails at majoritively "white/blue" buildings and sending violent threats to the families of white male police officers.

In Florida, BLM protestors found the cops vacation home and started vandalizing his property.

The BLM party is spreading the wildfire so it's hard not to remind people that ALL lives matter.

The Twitter wars have people saying "your people" and "our people" but united we should all be one.

BLM advocates for being treated the same as everyone else, but a majority of the advocates believe the way to do that is to retaliate against a bunch of white people/cops for four people's mistakes. The entire white race is not supporting what happened in Minneapolis

Three "not-BLM" people were shot to death in Indianapolis last night by #BLM protestors. Three innocent unarmed people who were simply speaking their mind, and were not themselves at all affiliated with the death of George Floyd. Two additional were injured. 27 arrests have been made.

The BLM movement advocates "retaliation" when they've now killed 3 Innocents for the price of 1 Innocents, with plenty more to come.

And color has nothing to do with it because there are multiple race supporters of both movements

idols sure this instance is what is making people speak out more loudly but they are not angry about just the actions of four people. It’s years of peaceful protests that have been ignored with no change. There is vandalism and riots, but maybe now people will listen. The fact that these riots are getting a comparable response to kneeling at the national anthem speaks volumes. some guy’s bougie summer home is not worth more than people who died jogging or were wrongfully murdered as an unusual punishment for their “crimes”

I used to think the same thing, it should be “all lives matter”, and now as I’ve grown and become more aware, all lives can’t matter till black ones do.

This is a fantastic explanation. It's all too easy to take campaign names and slogans too literally and misconstrue the message. Thank you for posting this.

Idols you have no idea what you're talking about. Get a grip. If you really think "all of this" is happening because of one instance, you need to educate yourself before commenting.
