I'm not woke

Nov 21, 2020 by hellocat
I am growing increasingly frustrated with the woke culture and the so called 'liberals'. And trust me I'm the furthest away from a conservative you'd ever get. I'm very much left and a member of the Labour party, but the entire premise of being liberal is to be tolerant to others opinions, be able to listen, learn and to discuss but we have a large percent of so called wokies screaming at people through text and trying to get people cancelled for disagreeing with anything they say.

And I won't even hide and say that sometimes I've even been apart of this cancel culture, but looking at example such as wanting J.K Rowling to die it's just ludicrous and exactly the opposite of what being left or even centre left is all about. Yes she is transphobic and that is so horrible, but giving her death threats and trending a hashtag telling her to die is absolutely unnecessary and not right. For example, let's talk about feminists. The majority of you are great and I adore the message behind it even if I am not a feminist myself. But the radical feminists who wanted bond to be a girl and define masculinity as toxic. That is what I can't stand.

And another thing that's absolutely annoying about this woke culture is whenever you disagree with the people apart of it or don't agree with a tiny thing they say and or stand for you get greeted with a barrage of abuse and hate comments. This is what drives people to commit sad and terrible things like suicide.

I'm not woke. Im Liberal but not an illiberal liberal. #casting
