*The episode with an overview of the horde inside Reg's community, an voice is talking over it*
Sandra- Our community was well supplied, we could last months. Everyone was friendly, everyone was happy with us as the leaders, they felt normal for once. Like the worry of the apocalypse had disappeared. However we just trusted the wrong people and they ripped our entire community with walkers, they devoured a majority of our group, I don't know if anyone other than me and Reg survived, those people who let them in the first place might be dead, I don't know, but I do know is that we have many supplies that could help you lot, I couldn't help but look at your shelves, you must only have a few weeks left with the stuff you currently have. The stuff that we have maybe even had still had years left off the expiry date.
*The scene cuts to a middle aged woman who is smoking a cigarette, she is sitting on a rolling chair in a room that looks like an office. Next to Sandra is Reg, still chained and tied up, Loveita and Parisa are standing at the back of the room, Di smirks before opening her mouth, she takes out her cigarette*
Di- Where is this place?
Sandra- About 50 miles away.
Loveita- It's worth a--
Di- Quiet Loveita, okay, we will send out some scouts to get these supplies, do you know if the horde is still there
Reg- Probably, I haven't bothered checking
Di- Okay, Parisa if you take Reg to Clinton, he should be able to get Reg a replacement for his arm. Sandra if you go and find Gerry, he's normally out near the gate he will show you to your room, make yourself at home and then I'll send a team out.
*Individually, Parisa Reg and Sandra file out of Di's office. Loveita is walking out*
Di- Come back Loveita
*Loveita walks back in*
Loveita- Yes Di
Di- I need you to exterminate Reg and Sandra when you go out to get those supplies, they are untrustworthy.
Loveita- They don't seem untrustworthy
Di- Don't back chat, I need you to kill them, if you fail, you know what happens
*Di points at a cupboard*
Loveita- *gulps* Yes Di
Di- Call me Ma'am
Loveita- Yes Ma'am *Loveita walks out of the office*
*Di snuffs her cigarette out before lighting a second*
*The scene cuts to Reid, Topaz, Hayleigh and Shaun out on the road, Hayleigh is sat at the front twiddling her thumbs, Reid puts on a CD which plays some Bon Jovi. Topaz and Shaun are at the back arguing*
Topaz- Shut up Shaun
Hayleigh- Guys stop arguing, I am getting stressed and I'm pretty sure the baby is as well
Reid- how many months are you pregnant? If you don't mind me asking
Hayleigh- In a week it'll be nine months, this is why I'm so happy you found us, you see we lost someone because of childbirth. I was so scared.
Topaz- We were determined to find a doctor, everyday we sent a group out to look further each day to find a settlement that has a doctor, but it turns out we are in the middle of nowhere.
Reid- Hmm.. seems like I'm running out of gasoline
Shaun- Already?! Didn't we fill up back at the shelter
Hayleigh- Yes but that was only enough for ten miles, how many is to go
Reid- Around 35
Topaz- Wow, we are in the middle of nowhere
*The car slowly stops, they all get out of the car, Reid kicks a wheel*
Topaz- What's the plan then?
Hayleigh- what we'll do is go and find another car that has enough to get us to Reid's group.
Reid- Right come on
*Reid starts to walk away from the car*
Shaun- Hold on, we can't expect a nine month pregnant woman to walk miles to find a car
Hayleigh- Eight actually *Hayleigh smiles before following Reid*
Topaz- Seems like she can try. Come on slowpoke
Shaun- I don't know how I feel about this
*The scene cuts to the Shelter, Rowland is farming along with Ida and Cora, Abraham has gone out hunting and Eve is on top of the roof as a look-out. Liam is pacing up and down the area*
Rowland- I wonder how they are getting on out there
Cora- Hopefully they can get there soon, I'm so worried for Hayleigh
Rowland- We won't know until winter's over, there going to be gone for a while, but we can pray every night for Hayleigh and the other two, Liam is very worried about Shaun
Cora- I'll go check on him
Ida- Alright, be careful, he's very fragile
Cora- I will *She smiles at Ida and passes her a pitchfork before walking off*
Rowland- I think you should be the leader Ida
Ida- What?! I thought there's was going to be an election between me and Abraham
Rowland- There was going to be one… after Julie's death, I feel like Abraham is Very weak currently up in the head and I don't trust his brain to make the necessary decisions the group needs.
Ida- I don't know how I feel about being leader
*Rowland stares into her eyes*
Rowland- What's up? Something is bothering you.
Ida- It's nothing, trust me you wouldn't want to know
Rowland- Whatever it is, I've heard worse things. You know the worst thing I was ever told is one of my ex-friends told me he killed my best friend, and that he lied about it too. He said he just had a spasm which caused a heart attack, but he put cyanide in his drink. I pushed him in the river, he couldn't swim and he drowned. I did not feel good about it but it gave me a sense of relief that he won't kill more people.
Ida- Wow… um I don't know how to tell you about it.
Rowland- Go on, I won't kill you.
*Ida looks at the floor*
Rowland- Fine, I'm gonna start on lunch, Abraham should be back
*Rowland starts walking away*
Ida- I murdered Paul
*Rowland turns and stares at Ida, his eyes wide and then it turns into anger. He then walks off*
*The scene then cuts to Di giving a speech to her people*
Di- We must firstly congratulate Mrs Henshaw on winning Best Pie of The Commonwealth, her recipe will be in the local store for others to make. We have 2 new residents of our community Civilian #175 Sandra and Civilian #176 Reg. We shall make them feel welcome in our community. They have a place where we can stock up on supplies and if I call your name you will be going out there to collect supplies. Sandra and Reg will lead the way along with Gerry, Loveita, Parisa, Malcolm, Vicki, Oliver and Abby. We wish them good luck on there's journey and would like to say an early thank you for your great help re-stock for us to have a great Festival. Clinton has announced that anyone feeling a slight fever should see him immediately due to a strange illness. He has recovered the patients but if you are showing symptoms please see him due to us wanting to contain the spread of this illness and to protect you all. The 75th weekly speech has now ended at the time of four thirty pm.
*The villages begin to file out into there normal activities, Clinton walks up to Sandra*
Clinton- *kisses Sandra's hand* So you must be the person who ran that community you had
Sandra- Well, I was second-in-command but the leader was insane so you might say I was the smart one who actually made the decision
Clinton- I like that, I am running out of medical supplies, with this illness going around it's hard to contain it, if you could grab some morphine along with some ventilators I would really appreciate
Sandra- I'll keep it in mind.
*Clinton smiles and winks at her before heading towards the pharmacy*
*The scene cuts to Reid, Topaz and Liam walking down the road, Hayleigh falling behind, suddenly she stops and struggles to walk, Topaz walks to her and picks her up*
Topaz- We'll get you there
*Topaz puts Hayleigh around her arms and walks with her*
Hayleigh- Thank you Topaz, you know I think it's twins
Topaz- Really?! *she chuckles* Can I name one?
Hayleigh- I am not calling one of my kids Emerald
Topaz- Why not? We can be stone sisters
*In front Reid and Shaun stop in front of a car*
Reid- Fuck yeah
Shaun- Does it work
*Reid steps in the car and tries to make it start, unfortunately it fails, he punches the car and his hand starts bleeding*
Topaz- Ugh, try again
Reid- I'm not dumb Topaz, it's not going to magically start, we are going to have to walk the whole way.
Shaun- Are you serious, we've only come 14 miles and Hayleigh is about to pass out.
Hayleigh- Don't worry about me, what we need is to get to the Commonwealth so I can deliver these two
Shaun- Two?
Hayleigh- last night I felt two kicks
Reid- Awh that's sweet but we need to get going if we want to make it there tomorrow
Topaz- We're not going to go, what we are going to do is rest for the night, it's sunset and that's when the walkers are more dangerous, when they're more active, what we are going to do is go to sleep, one in the front of the car, one at the back and we'll take it in turns to keep watch, me and Reid will take first watch. Hayleigh, you will be asleep the whole night cause you need it.
Hayleigh- Okay night y'all
Reid- I don't like this plan
*The scene cuts to Rowland in the bunker holding a chess piece with tears in his eyes, on the table is 2 empty wine glasses, Ida walks up to him*
Ida- Can I join you?
Rowland- What in my self pity, why don't you piss off Ida
Ida- I'm sorry that I killed your best friend, he-he tried to kill me so I just- it was self defence.
Rowland- I'm not mad, I'm just really pissed.
Ida- I don't know if that means your drunk or your angry
*Rowland chucks a wine glass at Ida, she ducks and it slams against the wall*
Rowland- Leave me alone!
*Ida nods and walks out. Rowland falls to the floor and weeps*
*Out in the woods, Abraham is cutting up a rabbit, Hana is in a pram opposite him. Cora walks up to him*
Cora- By the way I do not want to hear your sob story, I got enough of that from Liam earlier, tried to calm him down. He's very worried about Shaun
Abraham- at least his family is alive
Cora- You can't say that, you have Hana, anyway he did lose someone. *Cora breathes deeply* Shaun and Liam had a sister, her name was Maizy, she was so lively; an energetic person, very confident, you know. We met with them when the outbreak began in the middle of my girl group's concert, and after all of that we met with Reg and he murdered her.
Abraham- *yawning* is this supposed to make me feel better
Cora- No, but your not the only person who's lost someone, so stop your self pity and bring that rabbit back
*Cora stands, picks up Hana and walks off back to the group*
*The next scene goes to The Commonwealth, Sandra and the team Di set is about to head out. At first, Reg, Malcolm, Vicki, Abby and Oliver board the bus. Gerry kisses one of the villagers before going on*
Parisa- Ready?
Sandra- Yeah, I'll leave you two to it *Sandra gets on*
Parisa- What's wrong? Loveita, you know I'm stubborn so tell me.
Loveita- It's nothing *looks at Di* Let's go
*Parisa and Loveita board the bus and it's sets off outside of the commonwealth, Di in the background lights a cigarette and Clinton comes up behind*
Clinton- The women and that man seem nice.
Di- Mhmm, sadly they aren't staying.
Clinton- What do you mean?
Di- You'll find out soon enough *she takes the cigarette out and puffs smoke into Clinton's face before walking away*
