i agree with zachbbs - i think maintaining perspective is really important. Like whenever anything bad happens, even if i rant about it, at the end of the rant i'm like 'well like at least this didnt happen' (and think of something worse) or i find something i couldve done differently? or find a silver lining in whatever did happen. Everything has its positives and negatives (no matter how horrible it may seem in the moment), but i think it's better not to get consumed by the negatives of whatever situation you're in + appreciate what you do get out of it (or what you have already)
I always talk it out with a close friend just to lessen the load of my mind. One trick which works for me is to list down the pros and cons of my decision regarding my mental health. And whenever I feel triggered, I make sure I am alone for a while and talking to myself helps me out alot.
Honestly, seeking professional help and having a strong friendship has really helped me. I never thought I'd be the type of person to get help but it really does work. It takes time
