2021 was the worst year ever.

imageObviously everything is heightened because of the pandemic. I work in healthcare so it's been super busy, but since march 2021 I have been doing the jobs of two people ( a colleague ) is out sick since then, who actually happens to be related to me (my uncle).

My Aunt passed away in October 2021, I was heavily involved in her funneral from carrying her coffin to reading at the mass. She had stage 4 cancer but decided to keep the severity from her family. Her mother is 84 years old and still alive and she kinda said she was treatable and not terminal so it came as a shock to her when it happened. Tbh the last time I spoke to her I knew she was lying and told my dad cause of the way she was talking and like trying to get her affairs in order. She was secretly preparing her 12 year old son for life without her and even in death she kept shocking us with her bravery and courage. She planned her own funneral, her husband and son now dont have a mortgage because she had life insurance and it got wrote off. Attached is the picture with her final message she left asking her son to give it out at her removal. Even when dying she was so positive. "Stop focusing on how stressed you are and remember how blessed you are".

The current pandemic has really effect my mental health, I'm a free person, I like to travel, if someone tells me to do something I normally do the opposite. I'm really struggling to care anymore about my work, everyday is a personal fight but I'm trying to stay in a positive place. Tbh I'm not sure why I'm writing this, 2022 I'm hoping to just relax a bit, stop being angry and sad with the world cause I have not been myself the last 12 months. I'm gonna try and take her advice and take a positive message with everyday because she was full of life and would love to be here, it makes me feel guilty sometimes that someone who was full of life and had no control over dying is gone while others have lost their appetite for life like me.
