I took Sage for her afternoon walk, and we were leaving this park a half mile from my house, and there was a bigger dog out loose in his yard.
And I tried to stay calm but the dog ran up to us, and I don't know if he was actually trying to attack or just play rough, but he pounced on her and was snapping with his mouth and I was so scared, and Sage was so scared she panicked and she pulled out of her leash and she got loose.
I had to chase her the entire way home, she kept stopping to look back and make sure I was following her, but she wouldn't wait for me to catch up. And she had to cross a big street and I was screaming at her to wait for me. But there was a man at the corner and he saw, so he got in the street and put his hand out to stop cars and escort her across.
She was running towards home which is good, I'm hoping she would have just made it there herself and stopped to wait for me if I didn't finally catch up a half block from our house.
So we're home safe now but that was so scary, both the other dog pouncing her, and chasing her 6 blocks. And my sister just noticed the dog must have bit her and she has an open wound, so they are taking Sage to the vet right now to get fixed up, and I'm staying here with Chip and also to calm down.
Tagging a few of Sage's fans, I'll update when she gets home.
Glad shes okay and only has a cut. That could have ended horribly. Ive had a husky that wasnt on a leash come up and attack moose when he was a puppy. You need to go to the house who owns that dog and tell them what happened. Protect Sage at all costs plz.
Straightloonie they were outside with their dog, they ran up and were trying to pull him off of her. I didn't get a look at the house number or even that close of a look at the house, but I remember it was a bit higher up than the other ones on the street, so I think I pulled the address up on google maps and did the street view of it. I gave my mom the address, I think they are trying to call the owners. They're still at the vet now, she needs stitches.
