Fear Among The Living: Season 1, Episode 4 - "Death Becomes Thee"

Due to my busy schedule, I have decided to stop making fully written episodes of Among The Living and Fear Among The Living. However, I will be producing episode overviews, which will still give you an idea of what takes place with your favorite characters. I hope to turn these out more quickly. :::::SCENE 1:::::

Inside the hole of the dead, Victoria sits against the dirt wall out of breath and covered in blood. Emptiness fills her eyes and she reflects on what she just did. After jumping down into the pit, she used the remainder of her ammo to kill the zombies. Of the few left alive she fought and used her knife to kill them all. Snapping back into reality, Victoria sees Marshall starting to come to. Kneeling beside him, she helps him sit up. He thanks her for saving him and calls her brave. “Braver than I could have been.” Before she can respond, he pulls her into a deep kiss. After a moment, the two separate and look at each other. Just then, Danielle peers down and sees the teens. She assures them she’s going to get them out of there.

:::::SCENE 2:::::

Exiting the auditorium, Eden and JoJo slowly and quietly make their way down the hall. They stop suddenly when they hear voices coming from a nearby classroom. Eden whispers to JoJo to stay where she is and if anything happens to run. Eden peeks into the room and sees Billy, Ingrid, Chris, Caleb and Toni. With Billy’s back faced towards her, Eden enters with her gun raised and orders him to slowly turn around. When he does she tells the others to meet JoJo and get out of there. Toni tells her no and yells about how it’s Eden’s fault that all this is happening. “I will never follow your orders!” While she’s distracted, Billy charges towards Eden and the two wrestle, causing her to drop the gun. JoJo enters and instantly Toni pulls the teen towards her, placing a knife to her throat. Caleb and Ingrid try to talk Toni down, but she says she’s done taking orders. Toni takes a scared JoJo at knifepoint out of the room. Eden yells at Ingrid to get Caleb and Chris out of there. After the trio leaves, Eden and Billy continue to fight. He shoves her against the wall while choking her. With all her might she knees him in the groin. As he bends down she knees him in the face and knocks him out cold.

:::::SCENE 3:::::

As Kevin holds a knife to Nash’s throat, Rowen taunts him by placing a gun to Heather’s head. In a swift motion, Rowen shoots Kevin in the head and tosses Heather to the ground. He pulls Nash towards him and tells James they’ll be back. After Rowen locks the office door, Heather rushes towards James and unties him. He tries to calm her down and tells her, “I brought this on us. I’m going to fix it.” Opening the window, he climbs out and helps Heather down. He tells her to hide in the busses until it’s safe. With only the knife Kevin had, Heather rushes towards the busses as James makes his way towards the front of the building.

:::::SCENE 4:::::

As Noah rushes over to Gertrude who is now on the ground with “chest pains,” Riley takes the opportunity to lunge at Cailean. The duo fight as Gertrude sits up and urges Noah to help subdue their captor. Noah is hesitant, but proceeds to get in the middle of Riley and Cailean. “Please, we can work together. It doesn’t have to be like this.” Just then Gertrude screams out causing the guys to witness a zombified Raul tearing into her neck. Watching in horror, Noah can’t move as Riley urges him to leave with him. Riley gives up and flees the cafeteria. Cailean uses his knife to kill Raul and proceeds to stab Gertrude in the head. Noah begins to cry but pushes Cailean away as he tries to comfort him. “You could have prevented this. All of this. I don’t know who you are anymore.” Cailean begs Noah to listen to him, but Noah starts to walk away. “Shoot me if you want, but my group need me.”

:::::SCENE 5:::::

Walking into the abandoned house, Troy and Mark note how eerily quite it is. After calling out for Arjun and Amber, they begin to check the house. As Troy heads to the master bedroom, he notices it is empty. When he turns around a zombified Arjun appears around the corner and stalks towards him. Troy yells out causing Mark to rush downstairs, but it’s too late. A zombified Arjun has already tore into Troy’s stomach. As Arjun isn’t looking he takes a baseball bat and bashes his head, killing him instantly. Mark looks down and watches Troy take his last breath. As tears form, he pulls out a knife and stabs him in the head. Turning around he sees Danielle, Marshall and Victoria standing in the doorway. Danielle lets out a deep sigh and says, “It’s been a horrible night, but we have to get back to the school. Now.”

:::::SCENE 6:::::

In the school, Rowen walks down a hallway flicking a lighter on and off. “Whatever you’re thinking, stop.” Rowen turns around to see James holding him at gunpoint. “You always were a sneaky one.” James tells him to give up before things get worse. Rowen tells him how much he wishes they had grown up together. How James was so young when he went away to prison, so they never had the chance to truly be brothers. “Which makes this easier I guess.” After the words leave his mouth, Rowen flicks open the lighter and toss it on the ground. Gasoline that Rowen poured on the ground ignites instantly building a firewall between the brothers. As he turns to leave, James tosses the gun aside and lunges over the fire to tackle Rowen. The two engage in a fist fight until Rowen knocks James out cold and leaves him with the fire.

:::::SCENE 7:::::

Holding JoJo close, Toni continues to walk with her towards the front of the building. “Stop!” She turns around to see Nash who begins pleading with her to let JoJo go. “I made a mistake brining the guys here. I didn’t even want to, but I felt like I have no one left in this world.” He continues to try and talk her down when Riley shows up. As the two guys beg her to listen to reason, Toni points her gun at them. “You don’t get to make me seem like I’m the crazy one! I just lost my mother! I just lost…myself!” With tears streaming down her face, Toni shoves JoJo to the ground and sprints outside. As Riley rushes after her, Nash help JoJo up. Once outside, Riley pleads with Toni to stop running. She stops and faces him. “She didn’t deserve to die! I hated her ways and her alcoholism, but she didn’t deserve to die!” Riley begs her to put the gun down that she now has to her head. BANG! Riley watches as Toni’s lifeless body floats to the ground. He rushes to her, but it’s too late. “You’re all I had left.” He sobs and after a few moments takes her gun and shoots himself in the head.

:::::SCENE 8:::::

Hearing gunshots, Ingrid rushes down the hall with Chris and Caleb beside her. As they turn the corner Soren stands there smiling. “Please let us go!” He shakes his head, pulls out his gun and points it at them. Chris begins to cry and cling to Ingrid. She pleads, “Shoot me. Just don’t hurt my boy. Please! Please!” BANG! Ingrid screams out as she watches Caleb jump in front of Chris to block the bullet. But it’s too late. Chris bleeds out of his forehead from the gunshot and falls to the ground lifeless. Ingrid falls to her knees clinging to him and sobbing. Caleb looks on in shock. Soren smiles “Who’s next?”

:::::SCENE 9:::::

Hearing gunshots, Eden runs down the hall and starts to see smoke. As she turns the corner she sees James lying unconscious on the ground. She rushes to him, but Rowen steps into view. “Well aren’t you a sight for sore burning eyes.” She demands to know what he did, but he tells her, “You should have just let us take over. You caused all of this.” Anger fills her eyes as she points her gun and shoots at him. Rowen dodges the bullets and tackles her to the ground. The two fight causing her to lose her gun. He picks her up and slams her body against the lockers. She stands and the two continue to fist fight. Soon he is choking her neck as he pushes her against the balcony overlooking the first floor. She struggles to break free as her feet come further off the ground. “You won’t survive this. No one ever does.” Finding inner strength, Eden places her thumbs on his eyes and squeezes as hard as she can. He eventually lets go and stands back. She immediately punches him and the two begin to spar again. When she finally gets him with his back facing the balcony railing, she knees him hard in the groin before landing two punches on his face and shoving him over the railing. Looking over, she can see his lifeless body on the ground the blood gushing from his head. Immediately she runs over to James and pulls him just before the fire reached him.

:::::SCENE 10:::::

Walking through the woods, Amber smiles while listening to the sounds of the dead. Once she gets closer to the school she sees the smoke and fire through the windows. With a shrug, she walks back into the woods. Then, she hears a gun being cocked. Turning around she smiles. “Well look who it is.” Standing in front of her with a serious face is a girl. Amber lets out a giggle before saying, “Of course you’re still alive. Not even the apocalypse could kill the great Chandler Parks.”
