Latrix finishes her trap, having stuffed the clothes she got from Zant with moss and twigs, making it appear as if a tribute is sitting on the ground. Having trigger wires to release the sharpened twigs that dangle just above the fake body. She lays above in a tree, struggle to stay awake, it bein 2 days since she was able to rest.
Tiberia and Cedric stay at the cornucopia. They begin to go threw the supplies. Picking out what they want or need to have on them at all times. Well everything else is destroyed. They know they can't stay, with tributes likely wanting to come to the cornucopia, it would be high risk to stay. But they don't want the tributes to have the relief of finding supplies here either. Starting a massive bonfire, the two burn anything they can not take.
Cresta watches from the forest line as Tiberia and Cedric burn the supplies. She waits, planning to take her time, to be patient for the best time to attack, to get revenge.
Zebadiah crashes through the forest. Looking for Thuckle. After taking Ripper from him he wants revenge, he wants Thuckle dead. Zebadiah bursts threw the brush into a opening with a shallow lake. He stops scanning the area, watching for where Thuckle could have gone when suddenly Thuckle leaps from the woods behind Zebadiah, grabbing Zeb and tackling him into the water. The two scramble to get to their feet but Thuckle is the first one. He grabs Zebadiah by his throat, pushing him under the water.
Zebadiah struggles to get free, holding his breath and feeling his body ache for air. Unable to breath due to being under the water. He scratches and yanks at Thuckle who now sits ontop of him, pushing Zebadiah's head deeper into the water. Zebadiah grabs Thuckle's hair and yank, ripping Thuckle off of him. He leans up, surfacing out of the water, taking a deep breath.
Thuckle scrambles to get up, charging to tackle Zebadiah again. But Zebadiah suddenly grabs Thuckle, lifting him over Zebadiah's head and throwing him onto the ground. The water splashing as Thuckle hits it.
Thuckle knows strength wise he is no match for Zebadiah. He turns for the woods and kicks off running for the safety of the forest. But he feels Zebadiah grab his arm. With a quick yank Thuckle is thrown back onto the ground by Zebadiah.
Zebadiah leaps ontop of Thuckle, clenching his hand into a fist. He slams it into the side of Thuckle's face.
CRACK!
Again Zebadiah slams his fist into Thuckle's face, and again, and again, and again. The constant sound of skin meeting skin, bone meeting bone, the force of Zebadiah's fist smashing into Thuckle's face fills the air.
Zebadiah finally stops, looking down to see Thuckle. Thhuckle lays in the shallow water, his face swollen to the point his left eye is swollen shut. Blood drips from his nose and mouth, his mouth missing a few teeth and a chunk of the top lip missing. Colours of purple and red mix together on Thuckle's face, his face looking discoloured with the amount of bruising he has.
Thuckle gurgles as he struggles to breath. His vision blurry, and his head hurting. He tries to move his arm but it spasms and falls back down to the ground.
Zebadiah glares at Thuckle, having no remorse. He grabs Thuckle's head, twisting it to the right.
CCCRRRRKK!
BOOM!
Zebadiah stands up, looking at Thuckles body when he suddenly hears something move behind him. He turns to see Penny standing in the forest line. She stares at Zebadiah with shock. Him being covered in blood and their dead ally laying inches from him. The only thing that she can think of is that he turned on them. He turned on Thuckle and Ripper.
Before Zebadiah can say anything Penny bolts into the woods, vanishing.
“Penny!” Zebadiah yells.
Latrix lays in the tree, feeling herself drifting off into a sleep. She struggles to stay up but can't. Suddenly she hears it, someone laugh. She shoots awake and looks to see the career pack directly below her. She panics, wondering if her sudden movement created enough noise for them to hear. But after a few seconds she knows they didn't hear anything. Instead they are focused on the fake tribute.
She watches as they silently move towards the stuffed clothes, falling for the trap.
Hermaya raises her sword, seeing the male tribute laying on the ground. That's when she feels it, the thin wire brush against her leg, breaking. Her heart sinks as she instantly knows its a trap, and she just triggered the trip wire. She doesn't have time to react before the long, sharpened twig falls, ripping into her back and severing her spine.
BOOM!
Galus sees Hermaya drop to the ground and quickly bolts, hearing the sharpened spikes falling behind him, hitting the ground with soft THUDS. He feels a spike tear into his ankle and screams as he falls, hitting the ground. Another spike falling and tearing into his body.
Latrix watches from above as the last of the spikes fall. Hermaya laying dead directly below Latrix. With Galus laying a few feet away. She needs to get their stuff quickly, before the hovercraft moves in to collect the bodies.
Latrix shimmies down the tree, rushing to Galus first Expecting him to have the most supplies since the more larger and dominate career usually carries the most valuables. She grabs his jacket, yanking it off when he suddenly turns, ripping his knife into Latrix's throat.
Latrix falls back, grabbing her throat as she feels blood pour from her wound. She thrashes around, trying to escape, to ease the pain, to fine a way to survive this. Her brain scrambling.
Galus stumbles to his feet, the pain shooting threw his body as he looks at the two spikes. The first deep into his ankle, well the other is in his side.
BOOM!
He looks to see Latrix laying on the ground motionless. Looking back at his wounds he knows he needs to find a way to dress them otherwise he will bleed out.
