This stings, I really really enjoyed having you compete on Season 1 of my music taste. Your submissions were very diverse and consistent, this was just one submission getting you in the bottom, and facing someone in the bottom who just narrowly beat you out. Thank you so much for playing!
EPISODE 5, PAIRS!!!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hello all, this Pairs challenge has been teased for awhile now. I will random.org the pairs, and this is how the challenge will work.
As a pair, you will be submitting ONE song. One of you will submit the song, and the other one will comment stating that they approve of the song their partner submitted.
I recommend speaking with your partner via mail, making a shortlist of the songs you both would like to submit, and through process of elimination picking the one song you both feel confident in. If you can’t both come to a decision… I recommend that whoever is in disagreement, keeps the song they preferred off to the side as their lip sync song, in the event you have to lip sync. This is just a fun blogs page game it’s not super deep, so I hope things don’t get ugly and that this is a fairly straight forward week!
Now the challenge itself, as you are in pairs, this may be predictable, but I want to see DUET’S! I want you as a team to submit a song that has two featured artists singing in the song. The rules here are flexible, it should just be clear that their are two artists performing in the song that both have parts.
If there are any questions or concerns please let me know, the pairs will be posted below!
One last thing, you will be critiqued as pairs…. So you’ll win as a pair, or you’ll be lip syncing as a pair.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You will have 24 hours to submit a song on DUET’S as a pair. Meaning one person will submit, and the other must comment stating that they approve of the song posted. As this episode is a joint effort, I can be more flexible with the 24 hour deadline, just communicate with me if anything comes up!
This song is the EPITOME of underrated. Britney is a legend, no doubt about that, and she barely has any collaborations whatsoever. I think people seem to skip over Glory as an album, but Slumber Party proves that Britney still has it in the bag and has aged flawlessly like wine. It's different from the other duets people posted, because this is a bit more upbeat, and I feel like it really reflects the common ground between Matt and I, so this song was obviously a no brainer! Also, this is kind of a nod to Britney being free too. Everything about this submission is perfect.
