💜🖤 LM5 RANKING 🖤💜

Dec 4, 2018 by alanb1
Think About Us - Perries vocals are everything here and this song goes off so much and shocked me hardcore. I thought I’d hate it based on the preview.

Forget You Not - I love when the bass kicks in and it really begins to feel like a certified bop. This was such a grower for me. Ba da bang bang.

Only You - definitely one of the best songs of the year sorry I had to put it this high but Jade’s verse and chorus is something I could listen to for the rest of my life.

The Cure - I’m here for it. So here for it. I needed to hear this when it came out. Generous queens gave me what I needed.

Notice - it really struck a nerve with me and sounded so powerful + emotional from the girls. Also made me shake my booty. So it’s a powerful bop.

Motivate - it kinda sounds like something I’ve heard before but I can’t put my finger on it. Like the beat of the hook sounds familiar which turns me off a bit but it’s so catchy that I almost don’t give a fuck.

More Than Words - HAS AN AMAZINGGG HOOK. the best on the album. But the verses don’t match it at all which was so underwhelming for me cuz this was the song I was looking forward to the most. Leigh Anne’s high note was so good btw.

Joan of Arc - this song is not cohesive at all and I’m in love with it anyways which rarely ever happens. Like it’s almost hard to follow but I kinda dig that here. jade’s parts are my favorite (she’s my fav) but honestly everyone brought it mhm.

Woman Like Me - I actually love this song so much and it’s still to this day something I bop to so it has aged gracefully and I’m so happy they got to collab with their idol.

Wasabi - I love that jade came up with the concept of the song. The concept and beat is so different and another song that isn’t quite cohesive but I don’t care it makes me shake my ass and love myself.

Monster In Me - my favorite thing about this song is the outro which I don’t think I’ve ever said b4. Kinda a cheesy concept but their harmonies were amazing and vocals on point.

Strip - I feel like this is in everyone’s top 5 but it doesn’t do it for me. I think I love the concept and message but i dunno it feels like a worse Wasabi :/ sorry don’t neg.

American Boy - the song starts with its chorus and that’s usually great but the chorus for this song is nothing compared to Jade’s amazing verse which is the only part of the song I truly love.

Told You So - another song where the hook I feel I’ve heard before and it’s a little underwhelming but still lowkey makes me cry cuz tea sisterhood is everything

The Cure (Stripped) - it’s only this low cuz it sounds way too much like the original and no idea why this was even included in the album. Still cute tho.

Woman’s World - i actually like this song just so we are clear but it feels a little too on the nose and as a white man cannot relate to any degree but I support the message and can get behind its flow for the most part.

—————— not on my playlist ——————

Love A Girl Right - I actually do not like this song at all sorry the more I listen to it the more I don’t like it don’t neg.

Overall thoughts: my favorite little mix album by far even though jade seemed to have a lot less to sing than the other girls.

Leigh Anne SHINED THROUGH on this album.

Perrie is so powerful love her always.

Jesy’s signature vibrato was as present as always.
