Get out is more of a thiller than a horror movie.
and listing 7 movies out of the many doesnt quite prove any point other than 7 horror movies in the history of the Oscars have been nominated.

Even less have won. So once again it is really hard for horror movies to get nominated. Also Hereditary really wasnt anything special
