In all castings I have played, I have never been nominated. I have always reached final day and placed 1st-4th.
I have now played enough Castings to know this:
-You need at least 1 key to win
-The highest checks (amongst those with keys) wins the game
-Check your time. If you have 150 seconds, it means you are in first place. When there are 2 nominees the time changes to 130s for first place
-Negging does NOT hurt you. I have negged a lot in active castings in order to get that first place slot and won.
I finally played a casting where I did not receive a key, but still had the most time and checks overall. You only need 1 key to win. #casting
EDIT: OK THIS IS RIGAMORRIS How are all these cunts winning casting w/o a key and I loose when I had the highest scores, most checks and was the only one with 100% Carlos explain to me this

how did that noob get 2nd!?!? just because key he didn't play half comps or talk
"Negging does NOT hurt you. I have negged a lot in active castings in order to get that first place slot and won."
I'm just gonna warn you right now _Adidas_, if we are ever in Castings together and you even try negging me, you WILL get negged back because that's one thing I do not put up with in Castings.
But the rest of what you say seems fair enough. I have however noticed your health won't go up so fast if you do neg, and your checks also won't go up as fast as they should.
Icarus_mark LOL i dont make it obvious though, I probably would selective plus and I hardly do it anymore since I make sure I get to 1st by just making sure I post more and get more pluses
You know back in the day, the algo rewarded you for evenly plussing and negging. If you kept your plus:neg ratio even and was also being plussed yourself, you would do well.
There may still be a hint of that left in the but to add a bit more - you would be punished/nominated for plussing/negging all. 馃槀

I agree with everything except these two. I've seen the highest checks lose if they aren't great at challenges. and I'm pretty sure time is based on your activity the previous day, not the placement you're in
woeisme Nah, the time in challenges is based on placement in checks. I know because I've played enough Castings and seen enough people reveal their time and checks to know this. But the other one you don't agree with I have to say you are right on. There has been games I have won where I did not have the most checks and someone who did the highest checks also had keys.
As to what the "Secret sauce" is. It's probably randomization in the algorithm.
So you could have 4% more checks, and 4% better comp scores as person B, with an even amount of keys as person B, and still get second to person B by 2%. That's why I believe you sometimes can get second, even when you did objectively better.
As a side note:
Health has nothing to do with winning. It never has. Idk who thinks this, who told them this or why they think it. As far as anything has been proven to me, health is function through which you die. Nothing more, nothing less.
zedd i guess that hasnt happened to me, whenever i win ots because i had the most check, whenever i get 2nd or 3rd it's because I didn't have as much checks as the rest
In order to get a real idea of whats actually going on, you'd need to like keep spreadsheets of comp scores. Because they matter just as much as checks and keys.
