KC’s takesies : it feels like Kesha is trying to be her “old self” again sometimes, but also just being an extension of her Rainbow self, so it’s like a mixture and it just isn’t really translating? It wasn’t as horrible as I was worried it would be, but it wasn’t very great either. It’s sad to see her state of career. But whatever makes Kesha happy, I guess. It’s her life. Good for her if this is what makes her happy. Good for her.
zu's cowboy bluez: i appreciated the revival of ke$ha in this album! it really felt like a tug of war between kesha and ke$ha to control the overall sound. it draws parallels in my mind to natalie portman in black swan fighting the darker half of herself. unfortunately in this album, kesha doesnt kill herself and leave ke$ha to make her radiant return. it ended up causing a lot of the songs on this album to be boring and/or bad.
FINAL ALBUM RATING: ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆
