3. Marlon Brando in "The Godfather Part I"

should be 1

no one thought he'd fit the role or even be good at it, he was amazing at it and put a big middle finger up to all the doubters

Vans It was very difficult to put them in order, the top 4 are interchangeable really.

Tommy Wiseau in "The Room" and the lead actor in "Birdemic" should be #1 and #2

dumbginger I really felt bad not including them, they are probably 12th and 13th behind the turkey from "ThanksKilling"

Contrary to the wording of the title I am not ranking my own performances.

Nobody but Daniel Day-Lewis deserves to be top, above comments are ridiculous

LOOOOOOOOOOOOL DumbGinger. They should also win best Director, Screenplay and effects. :P

And Zacharyy, all men? Okay!
Firstly, I think Tim Robbins portrayed his character better than Morgan Freeman his character. I love Morgan Freeman - his voice is amazing - but in films, I don't see him as his character, I see Morgan Freeman. Tom Cruise and Samuel L. Jackson have that effect on me too.

Otherwise, I've only seen 3/9 films on that list, so I can't just most of them.

I also believe that Jack Nicholson's acting in The One That Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest was better than his acting in The Shining.

Also, Gregory Peck and Sidney Poitier should be on this list. XD

LMFAO ^^^^^ Zacharyy

and idk what my top 10 would be. But I'm so happy to see Sean Penn on here. I absolutely love him.

He's fantastic in I Am Sam too

SeanInDC Reaallllyyyyy? Leo has defo done some incredible performances and he impresses me in most his films, but Titanic? Really? He was not convincing as a poor guy. Playing a liar, absolutely, but relating to poor people, not at all!
He's much better in his more suave roles - The Great Gatsby, Inception, Django, Shutter Island and Wolf of Wall Street.

SeanInDC I actually didn't appreciate hanks in Forrest Gump or Castaway I agree that he was great in Philadelphia. Leo was great in What's Eating Gilbert Grape also.

frontierpsychiatrist He is pretty solid at #1

yoshitomi Robbins was good but I think Freeman's role was made for him. I've yet to see One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest so I can't comment on that. I wanted to put Peck in for TKAM but he didn't make the final cut.
Sent by Zacharyy,Apr 25, 2014
i agree somewhat yoshitomi.  but... none of those other roles tugged on the heart strings.  Maybe shutter island, but the others... he did okay, nothing to write home about.  the departed would have been a better argument.  you will always remember his role in the titanic.  i would have even said the beach but i thought that was stretching it.

kob3sm1th I really don't like Sean Penn as a person but his acting abilities are undeniable.
Sent by Zacharyy,Apr 25, 2014
SeanInDC I haven't seen The Departed or What's Eating Gilbert Grape. XD
I think the whole event of the Titanic tugs on my heart strings. But you know Jack and Rose were the only 2 fictional characters, the rest were based on the real passengers. #TheMoreYouKnow

Zacharyy If I were to make this list, I'd do top 50 because there's too darn many! XD
Sent by Yoshitomi,Apr 25, 2014
yoshitomi, of course i know the titanic was based on a true story.  what are you getting at?
Sent by SeanInDC,Apr 25, 2014
I've never seen Daniel Day Lewis in a bad movie.
