Charities Aren't Given

Dec 8, 2018 by Yoshitomi
Definitely a topic I've blogged before.

People complain that charities are easy but they're not. They're earned.

The idea is it's a premade with a goal to have 1 member win. But the algo works against that.

Plus this is a website which part of the advertising is "backstabbing" and "betrayal". It's smart gameplay to spoil a charity and aim to win - you're in the game, you're not getting your T$ doubled.

So it takes a group of unselfish people to make a charity work. But that's not all.

The holder needs to be in control of the game. They need to know what moves are being made and paying attention to if someone is trying to spoil or unintentionally overspamming.

You want to get rid of too-active people yet you need active people to help you be more active.

All in all - charities are not easy. It's kinda why I enjoy playing them. As fun as it is too see rich users get richer by winning their bet, I enjoy the strategy of charity games.

Hence I join random charities. I like the idea of playing not for myself. 🤷🏽‍♀️
