The reason why Niagara Falls turned orange

Oct 10, 2019 by XxLoveWakizaxX
150,000 Indigenous (Métis, First Nations, and Inuit) children were remembered tonight as the Falls turned orange. The average age of the children taken to the schools was 4 to 16 years, with some as young as 18 months. 120 years of abuse in 140 Schools across Canada. 3,000+ children died inside the schools — as a Canadian you had a better chance of surviving while serving during World War II than to survive Indian Residential Schools. Children would run away and would choose to freeze to death rather than return to the schools.

People from around the world were photographing this iconic moment completely unaware of the significance of what was happening, but then again the same can be said about how the majority of Canadians were unaware about IRS and the horrors within their walls.
