Since I have a passionate love for television, every year I create my own version of the Emmy awards (where the nominations should replace the legit ones). In this blog series, I will post one category daily and review it. I'll announce my nominations and then my winner.

The twelfth category is Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. At first, I made this category thinking it was pretty weak. I hadn't seen much of any of the actors seasons nominated. However, I decided to catch up on some of these shows and I now consider this a very great category.
My nominees are:
Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut – Better Call Saul
Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk – Marvel's Daredevil
Walton Goggins as Boyd Crowder – Justified
Ben Mendelsohn as Danny Rayburn –Bloodline
Tobias Menzies as Frank Randall/Black Jack Randall – Outlander
Mandy Patinkin as Saul Berenson – Homeland
And the winner is...

Ben Mendelsohn as Danny Rayburn from Bloodline! Before Bloodline, I had no idea who tf Mendelsohn was. But, like Danny - anyone who didn't know him before learns about him very quickly. I think the best thing about Bloodline was the slow build-up of what happened in the past and why Danny was the black sheep of the family. Ben Mendelsohn did a great job of portraying Danny Rayburn and making him intimidating and vulnerable (which almost describes every other nominee in this category). It should be interesting to see his role in the second season if anyone has finished the first season.
