Today I got back from a camp with children for my internship at my church. Overall, it was a great week. One of my first times working with a large group of children, ranging from 1st-6th grade. I fixed the tattling issue due to the annoyance of them walking up to me every five minutes saying so and so did this etc. some just making stuff up. You just ask them āare you bleeding, broken, or dying?ā I found out later itās actually barfing instead of dying but I never changed the question.
100% I lost brain cells and aged a year in just a week
During the Great War then they wouldnāt have had to use mustard gas. They would have used his farts instead. However due to him being alive 100+ years later Iāll have to have a discussion and call for another Geneva convention before I die.
So I worked a sports camp this week and it opened up new and old opportunities. It was fun and some ages definitely suck compared to others. 3rd graders are such a weird age and 6th graders are turds. However, over the last few weeks I have worked my ass off networking in the church and helping out. The organization that we are partnered with are setting me up to coach and referee different sports and I the childrenās minister offered me or rather shot the idea towards me to be her intern, a position Iāve already held before in the summer of ā18. A summer that my body just shut down on me as well as making just horrid decisions for myself due to my own self destructive tendencies as well as the people I associated myself with. The last couple of months Iāve made changes to myself and they have worked and pushed me to make certain changes in my life and as soon as I did, the universe also started to send things my way. Weāll see how it goes from here I suppose. Dreams have a way of coming to fruition if you push yourself to make the changes necessary to achieve them.
I officially hate 3rd graders and 6th graders.
2nd grade was the best. 4th grade is chill but they do not give a fuck about anything. Kindergarten and 1st grade will do whatever you say but there are definitely some whiney ones. 5th grade is a bit mixed as they were with the 6th graders.
