They give the teams that they want out a fat camera man. They aren't allowed to be a certain amount of feet away from the camera and if the camera operator refuses to run the team is not allowed to run!
Pay taxi drivers to make a wrong turn, etc.!

Is this actually true I assumed they were all athletic trained people it seems like a hard job
doobee idk about if the cameramen are fat but contestants constantly refer to the jogging pace they have to go with the cameraman (and they are also usually running multiple miles every leg too so it probably only affects things when they have to sprint and also reinforces the fact that the cameramen probably need to be in good shape)
i think tarcan5 or 6 premiere (i forgot which) has a drone aerial shot after the 1st task where u can see a team running for a solid 3-4 seconds and the camera ppl are in the entire shot and u can see the cameraman jog in full force
