It is VERY telling when you pay attention to the effort public figures put into their posts. Some are logging off completely until everything is over & will return back like nothing happened. Some half ass it by posting a simple link to that change.org petition that won't do shit and log off/go back to posting normal, and others are consistently supplying new information to people and/or even going out on the streets.
Surprisingly a lot of the latter half have been people with a problematic past. I'm talking influencers that got dragged or cancelled for rapping the N word. I'm talking a black youtuber that got DRAGGED years ago because she clearly hated being black and would always try to pretend she was german for some reason (lol). I'm talking CAMILA FROM THE CHALLENGE WHO GOT BLACKLISTED FROM THE SHOW AFTER CALLING ANOTHER CAST MEMBER A N*GGER AND ASSAULTING A PRODUCER THE NEXT SEASON.
A lot of these people realized their mistakes and GREW UP. And them being so active in the fight shows me that they didn't just do another fake ass apology. They meant it and learned from their mistakes.
SO WHEN ONE OF THESE EX-PROBLEMATIC PEOPLE SPEAK OUT... PLEASE DON'T DRAG THEM. DON'T SPAM THEIR COMMENTS WITH SHIT LIKE "oh you should be last to talk about racism" and shit like that. We need as much support as we can and turning people away is so backwards.
