Are y'all wearing masks out in public?

Apr 5, 2020 by Timster
I had to go to the store today and wore my N-95 mask for the first time and the cashier had the nerve to tell me that those masks are for doctors.

BITCH it's none of your GOT DAMN BUSINESS where I got my mask from first of all. I got it from my JOB. Doctors aren't the only people that have historically used these masks. I did not buy this mask. I used it at my work WEEKS AGO and took it home instead of trashing it knowing we'd eventually need to wear them in public. Y'all need to mind your fuckin business and let people wear what they want. What you need to do is get on the people that assume they're virus free and coughing all over the store.

That lady pissed me off. I had an irrational fear that it would happen and sure enough it did.

lemonface Exactly ugh and then next she hit me with the "You work???" question because I don't look my age.

When I tell you I was so close to just dropping my items on the floor and walking out...

I understand medical workers need those masks. I did NOT BUY A MASK. THE PUBLIC CAN'T EVEN BUY MASKS ANYMORE. STORES ARE BANNED FROM SELLING THEM. Damn

I might wear a cloth mask over my N-95 now just to avoid problems but I have a very high risk family member at home so i'm not taking any chances.

chillum The government is officially recommending everyone wear a mask in public now. There are different types of masks. There are surgical ones that you see sick people in Asian countries wear those are for sick people. If you cough or sneeze it prevents those droplets from flying into the air and onto other people.

N-95 R-95 and another type of masks are to protect yourself from other people's droplets so you can't get sick.
