Does Timster have ADHD?

Oct 12, 2017 by Timster
imageOr ADD? Whatever the fuck it's called?

I feel like I have a really short attention span. I can't sit through movies @ the theater anymore. I find myself bored & looking away from the screen a lot.. I fall asleep @ action movies cause all the effects look fake as hell.

I cannot binge watch a tv series. At most I can watch 3 episodes in 1 day but that's PUSHING it. I just get so impatient & want to find out how it ends.

Although I don't notice signs of a short attention span anywhere else. I can focus pretty well when i'm studying or working (although when a song is stuck in my head it is STUCK like gorilla glue). But besides that it doesn't affect my daily life in any way whatsoever.

Does that count as this mental disease that 90% of millennials claim to have?

My brother has it, he can't focus on alot of things, and im sure i have it, i just like to mentally tell myself i don't or let it affect me

matthew09 That's very good you do that. Not trying to sound insenstive but mental diseases are MENTAL. Meaning it's not something that's physically there (for the most part obviously in some cases your brain shows sign of whatever mental illness you have like severe PTSD or something) but at the end of the day most mental diseases are "made up" IF THAT MAKES SENSE.

Meaning you may officially be labelled as a person with ADHD. But in reality you just have a lower attention span than the average human being but that doesn't make you dumb or any less than anyone else.

Or your knees tremble when you talk in front of an audience and it might make you label yourself as someone with social anxiety but really you just a little more nervous than the average person when you are in front of an audience.

etc. etc.

That prob wont make sense and i'll get dragged and accused of saying mental diseases aren't real lmao

If you keep labelling yourself with that mindset though then you will continue to be that way.

So it's good you don't put yourself in that mindset because it lowers your standards for yourself.

Timster Yeah it's a struggle it is, bcuz it gets in the way of a lot of things, but I chose to ignore it the best way I can. And overcome it. It's difficult like I said, but it's all about your mentality.
