Day 26 - Favorite Moment From the Anime
(I am so glad we made this change, I wanted any reason at all to talk about this scene!)
I'll admit I haven't seen a ton of the Sun & Moon anime, but I've seen a few clips here and there. The moment in Memories From The Mist where Mallow gets to reunite with her deceased mother hit me in a very sensitive spot for a couple different reasons, mainly because it forced me to reflect a lot on my own experiences. My relationship with my mom has always been very... well I won't go into it here, and I can think of so many people that have moved on I want to spend just a few minutes with to say everything left unsaid.
Just on its own merit though, personal feelings aside, it's a very powerful and very well crafted scene. I have yet to make it through this video once without completely breaking down.
This entire episode was gorgeous, for a moment I thought Ash was going to see his dad lmao. Everyone treats this season like a kids play but they dealt with a lot of serious topics and showed them so beautifully
