A twist on the original group game blog trend, this time in regards to hosting as made by Noobsmoke13 and Cmack311. I will be including entries from both my Julian's Survivor Series group game and Trinity Survivor, my ORG.
1. What has been your best hosting experience and why?
- It's tough to compare both Macedonia and New Beginnings due to them being from completely different series, so I'm going to list both. Both were full newbie seasons which brought all the gameplay you'd expect from casts of seasoned veteran players. Every day brought something new and the casts never failed to keep my interest.
2. What has been your worst hosting experience and why?
- Trinity Survivor: Atlantis, no question. With all due respect to a solid majority of the cast, the experience was oneof the most negative ones I've ever experienced. 3 quits before the first tribe swap, a twist which admittedly tainted the experience for everyone, the cast was overall negative a majority of the time. Ultimately the season ended up getting cancelled before the merge even hit.
3. What is your favorite game you have hosted?
- I would have to say it's basically the same as #1. Macedonia for my group game, New Beginnings for Trinity. If I had to choose just 1 though, NB edges out just a little for the live aspect and getting the full experience of watching blindside after blindside take place.
5. What is your favorite challenge you ever hosted?
- The music video challenge that I always open Trinity with. I love putting it together, I love watching everyone working together trying to figure out what sort of bs taste I put into the vid, and I love the chaos that can ensue.
6. If you are no longer hosting, would you ever return...if you are still hosting, do you see an end in sight?
- Cast reveal for my group game happened earlier today, and there's a new season of Trinity in the near future. All good things will come to an end eventually but I'm at my prime atm.
7. What is your favorite elimination?
- The 5th tribal council from Archetype Royale. The possession twist sent ThisIsMyGame over to the dysfunctional Syntixi tribe and, due to possessing the wrong person and somehow forcing a deadlock tie despite having 7 people, getting rocked out. There's so much more that happened but that's the short version.
8. What is some advice you would give to younger hosts who don't have much experience?
- Everyone has their own methods of doing things. You'll figure out what works for you and, once you do, you'll be golden. Nobody gets it right their first try!
