Season 2 Episode 4: “Sci-Fi Drag”
Challenge: Create a Science-Fiction Movie
Runway: Drag in the year 3000
Lip-Sync: Starships by Nicki Minaj (never performed)
Reason for ranking: This Episode was a DISASTER! It started with Stormer Summer ( ajathekween) having to leave the contest. Then later that day Caprice Latrice ( Iconique) QUITS! That quit was partly my fault since I quit her race but honestly I’m not going into that because that was a mess.
For the challenge, the queens were divided into teams. This was a mess because some of them don’t have Skype so they had to do it in mails. 2 of the 3 teams never gave me access to the mails and I’m assuming they had little to no work done.
An unamed Queen later told me that her team tried to write an HOURLONG script for the challenge not realizing that I just wanted a short pitch and not a fucking MLA work-cited essay.
Only 1 team actually submitted a product and it wasn’t great but wasn’t awful. This resulted with them technically winning but no one got WINs. And without anything from the other team, I spared them since we had 2 people leave.
This resulted in a quick week hiatus of the show to recoup from that mess. It also wasted one of the most legendary Nicki Minaj songs so that sucked.
The episode was truly awful and almost killed the show!
