.. needs to realize that Admin hasn't been trained to be a moderator for 15 years and knows exactly what to do in every single situation.
Admin is still very new to the job, and likely has almost no experience whatsoever. People make mistakes, and people learn from them, regardless of who you are. Attacking them because they're not doing their job properly, when they have no experience, is morally wrong, because they wouldn't know how to do things otherwise.
If you went into a brand new workplace without getting any instructions on what to do, and got yelled at by everyone for doing everything wrong CONSTANTLY, how would you feel? You don't know any better.
Keep in mind that Admin is likely not being paid to do any of this stuff, and they're doing this from their own freetime. It's a miracle that they're still here, given all of the shit that they're getting.
While I do not agree with SOME of the actions that Admin has/hasn't done, they're still learning. Be happy that we at least have moderation nowadays. Do y'all even remember what Tengaged was like when moderation died down? When people were deleting eachothers blogs, blacklisting people they didn't like, filling countless amounts of games with multis, stealing designs, posting NSFW pictures in the design labs, being racist/homophobic, posting porn overall, harrassing people CONSTANTLY, throwing death threats to anyone who said one little thing.. The list goes on and on.
I don't even care if this is gonna get -500. Y'all need to grow the fuck up.

you’d think that he’d at least learn common sense though
Temeky Being yelled at for every decision is an unfortunate guarantee that comes with the role. I was making a suggestion to help it be more transparent.
If Rando wants to reduce bans, fine. But if the moderation team produced a regular report to show the decisions made and why, Rando has no reason to be sceptical or to limit their powers.
Yoshitomi Honestly I didn't even see that you made a blog about it, this was just meant as a general blog to the public, and it wasn't directed at you. Sorry if this blog came across as me specifically talking about you.
simplyobsessed I'm currently administrating an online song contest and I've done so since November last year. I don't earn a single penny from it, but I'm doing it just because I know people enjoy it, and I enjoy doing it myself. Administrating also means that there's a big amount of moderation stuff that has to be done as well.
Again, two different things, but moderating Tengaged and moderating an online song contest could be somewhat similar technically.
Temeky It's hard to tell, but I genuinely was trying to help with the messy situation that was happening earlier.
Before we had Admin, I've said it over and over. A banned user, no matter how fair the ban is, is someone's friend. Someone's family. Every decision will be hated no matter what. It's a horrible role and we're a petty and unforgiving community.
There's no winning. It's just being yelled at for every choice. Just hope they can stay strong and keep on keeping on.
End of the day still accepted and has a job to do...if you arent qualified dont take it, step down, or be willing to take the heat (which it seems admin is ablenti take constructive criticism well)...inexperience isnt an excuse as long as you learn from your mistakes and dont keep making the same ones...

As a person who never experienced mods in the past, I guess I'm still confused on the rules around cursing.

Yep, the plight of moderators everywhere.
"Attacking them because they're not doing their job properly, when they have no experience, is morally wrong, because they wouldn't know how to do things otherwise."
its actually the right thing to do because how the fuck else are they gonna know they're not doing the right thing
Holder There are plenty of more helpful ways to help someone out if they're not doing the right thing. Yelling at them without telling them how to do something properly is probably the least helpful way.
yeah but most people on this site have a fkin breakdown if they cant wear a design which helps them through their identity crisis and being rejected by their parents
