The Past 24 Hours May 12, 2015
I would like to make a blog clarifying on the last 24 hours on Tengaged. I woke up this morning to many mails about a certain user committing illegal activities in the past and it was making some users uncomfortable. This started a "war" on the blogs page and the start of many messages sent to my inbox. I will not get into this, as there is no reason for me to publicly shame the user, and I hope the rest of you will stop as well.

I am making this blog to let you all know that accusing users of pedophilia is still ban-worthy, even in cases like this. I was lenient in the past 24 hours, as there was an on-going investigation. This investigation is currently now in the hands of others and will no longer be talked about by me.

I would also like to hope that this will no longer be talked about in public on Tengaged. Accusing a user of pedophilia will result in a ban going forward, as it has in the past. I have removed some of the blogs that have done this which were made in the last 24 hours, and consider this a final warning. If I find a blog made after this one in regards to accusing a user of illegal actions of pedophilia, I will be forced to give out temporary bans, which I do not want to do.

I hope this clears things up and limits the amount of mails that I receive about this matter.

Thank you very much,

T_ModTEMP.

Second Clarification May 5, 2015
Since instead of people asking proper questions through mails or e-mails, they go ahead and assume things on the blogs page and in the public, we're going to make a clarification blog about the Defamation of Character rule, which for the record, has always been in place on Tengaged, just hasn't been 100% enforced.

If you call somebody a pedophile or a murderer, you WILL be banned. These are serious crimes and these ruin somebody's reputation if the claim is false. If you have proof of any sort of illegal actions that are being performed by Tengaged users (relating to pedophilia) you can mail us, blogging about it will still get you banned.

If you call somebody a racist, call a straight person gay, call a female a man, or call Bobby by a name like Steve, you will NOT get banned. Since I have seen a lot about this on blogs that I have been trended in, I am making this clarification blog. These are in now way over the top claims that ruin your reputation.

I'm really not sure where all the claims of us banning people for no reason are coming from, because any ban that I have given out was for something that has been on my profile. I have not made any "new" rules since I have been a moderator, and I intend to keep it that way. But, people are always going to complain about a ban that they receive.

Once again, if you have any questions about this. MAIL US or COMMENT here. DO NOT ASSUME.

EDIT: Accusing somebody of something like 9/11 or another tragedy in the world is also ban-worthy.

Clarification on "Defamation of Character" May 2, 2015
Over the past 24 hours, a total of 5 users have received bans related to accusing a user on Tengaged of pedophilia. These offenses are not taken lightly, and are serious ones. I am an online moderator, not the police, so we are not going to handle issues that do not break Tengaged rules, especially without proper proof.

Now, if you accuse a user of being a pedophile DIRECTLY or INDIRECTLY you will receive a ban. A starting ban will be 3 days, UNLESS you have ABSOLUTELY NO other bans on your account. (This does not mean bans releated to this, ANY bans at all will get you a 3 day ban) If you have a few bans related to this issue, such as Defamation of Character, accusing a user of pedophilia or in some cases, harassment, you may receive extended bans such as a 7 day or 14 day ban.

Also, accusing users of ANY other illegal activity (within reason) will also merit a ban. If you feel like a user is actually doing something illegal, send us a message, don't address it publicly.

I am not trying to look for reasons to ban people, but if people don't play by the rules, then I have no choice but to give them a ban. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to post in the comments, as I typed the blog up quickly and others may have similar questions to you. I will respond in the comments, and sometimes edit the blog.

Thank you,

MOD Points Apr 21, 2015
This blog is to explain a feature on Tengaged that we have which not many users are aware of. Moderator Value or “MOD Points” are something that current moderators are able to give to non-moderators who report things and are helpful to the mods by ensuring the rules are followed on Tengaged. Once you reach a certain amount of mod points, you are able to delete blogs on Tengaged.

I am also making this blog to let people know that I will be keeping on top of mod points more than past moderators have. By sending in reports of things that are actually bannable or are questionable, you may receive mod points. I will give them based off who is helpful, not who spams my inbox the most to try to up their number of mod points that they have. Sending in false reports will result in your mod points to go down. Keep in mind that simply clicking the report button on a blog that contains bannable information will not give you mod points, but actually taking a screenshot and sending it to the T_ModTEMP account may get you some points.

Once you reach a certain amount of points, you are able to delete blogs on Tengaged. This feature is something that we give to the most trustworthy users that are not going to abuse it. I believe these users are very helpful as one moderator is not able to keep on top of all things on the website at all times. These people are basically extra sets of eyes to help out the Staff of Tengaged and will remove things that are bannable, and it will be sent to the moderation feed where mods will deal with it. If you are capable of doing this, and abuse it, it WILL be removed. If you go out of your way to blatantly abuse the system and delete a lot of blogs for no reason, you will receive a ban as this is a serious offence.

I have received a few questions about mod points and wanted to make this blog to clear up some confusion about them. They are not given to you automatically and must be given manually by a moderator, but I am going to be putting in an effort to make sure that people who deserve them actually receive them.

If you have any questions about mod points, please comment below and we will answer them publicly. If you would like to know how many mod points you currently have, (many of you will simply have 0) you can send us a mail and we will check into it for you.

Thank you,

Rule Addition/Disability Shaming Apr 21, 2015
We are making this blog to let you all know of a rule that is going to be enforced more harshly following this blog. We would like to direct you to our profile, where we have made this addition. You can find it under "General Harassment" on our profile:

5A. Disability Shaming/Harassing users while personally attacking them about disabilities - This is one of the newer rules of Tengaged. This will be something that is taken seriously, and bans will be handed out because of it. Using the "R" word is not bannable, but disability shaming and going out of your way to attack somebody, telling them they have certain disabilities is now something that is considered a bannable offense and falls under general harassment of users. Any offenses will be taken seriously and bans will be handed out based off the users past, how many bans they have received, and the severity of the comments.

We believe this is a huge issue here on Tengaged. Now, it's going to be difficult to judge what is really disability shaming, and since this falls under general harassment, not everything will be bannable. It will depend on the severity, but if you genuinely feel like a comment is offensive and should not be on Tengaged, please let us know, and we will do our best to make sure that the comments do not come back up, as long as they are reasonable.

Going forward, disability shaming will be a minimum 2 day ban and 7 day black list. (if it is blogged) If a user has many past bans (does not matter what sort of bans they are), longer bans will be handed out aswell as longer blacklists.

We do not want to look for a reason to ban the users of Tengaged, but this issue has come to our attention a lot over the past little while. Any chances on the Tengaged_Moderation account will be made once I receive access to this.

If you have any questions or concerns, please post on this blog or send us a mail.

Thank you,

A Few Issues/Concerns. Apr 20, 2015
I would like to introduce myself, and talk about a few issues I have seen brought up over my past few days on this account.

1. Unbanning past users who have been permanently banned - This is something many of you may be aware of. I have overturned a few permanent bans that myself AND Johneh have deemed to be unfair that were made by past moderators (who may not have been so fair..). We will NOT be unbanning anybody who has been permanently banned for posting porn or using Cheat Engine, because these are two very serious offenses. We’d like people to stop mailing us asking for their account to be unbanned, especially if the ban is deserved. If you genuinely feel like your ban isn’t deserved, send us a mail, and we will talk to you about it. But be prepared to take no as an answer. People have been messaging us over and over again after we have said no, and we will continue to ignore this as they start to get annoying after a while

2. Spamming the blogs page - We didn’t literally mean posting links to other links on Tengaged aka “spamming a design/blog.” We meant posting a blog by using a certain word that allows you to have many blogs active on the page at once. This is considered spamming and you will receive a blacklist for this.

3. Sending us e-mails and appealing bans - We understand nobody is perfect, and even we make mistakes sometimes. If you feel like your ban is unfair, e-mail us. We likely won’t over turn it though, so be prepared for that. We know when people deserve bans, hence why the receive them. Threatening us, spamming our e-mail, and getting user after user to mail us will not help your chances at all. We will answer e-mails that are legitimate, but we won’t answer spam ones.

4. Designs made by multiple users - This is something that has come up a lot over the past little bit. We understand the frustration of somebody taking your idea, or attempting to ruin your reputation by taking the same designs you have used in the past, but we have to approve designs when designers show us concrete proof that they took it from a website. We’ll respond to all of these requests, and do our best to explain things but don’t take the frustration out on us, we’re just doing our job.

5. Cheating in games / sharing IPs - This is a VERY serious issue. We will not take this lightly. Any suspicious activity WILL be looked at and if enough proof is given, we WILL ban you. The ban may be shorter at first, but these bans will add up and become very lengthy if the user refuses to play by the rules.
Asking to be banned - we will do all these requests, but don’t waste our time with 1 day bans or asking us to be unbanned after a day. We understand that sometimes the site can be time consuming and some people cannot prioritize properly, so we will help you with that if you genuinely feel like you can’t stay off the site.

Keep in mind we are not here to look for reasons to ban you all. We do our best to be fair, and instead of making blogs accusing us of things, try mailing us. Getting our side of the story will probably explain things. Who knows, maybe things will go your way. Sometimes we do make mistakes too!

If you have any questions, post on the blog or mail us! We'll answer you the best that we can.

Thanks everybody!
