PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: Following FairPlay’s elimination, Michaela realized what was going on in the tribe. “Rob, Peih-Gee, and Bobby Jon all had myself and Courtney pitted against Phillip and FairPlay, and took out one of us,” she said, “I have my eye on Rob.” Rob celebrated with Peih-Gee and Bobby Jon. Rob was worried he’d have a target on his back, so he had to rekindle a bond with Phillip. “I don’t want Phillip to be against me, because he has the loudest mouth,” Rob said, as he walked up to Phillip and shook his hand. “You’re okay next tribal, I promise,” Rob told him. At the Nobag tribe, Francesca was so happy she wasn’t the first boot, but it was starting to irritate the rest of the tribe. “How many times do I have to hear her say ‘thank god I wasn’t the first boot’,” Randy said to Troyzan. Troyzan decided to talk to Hali, who was on Game Changers with him. “Right now, it’s just me and Randy,” Troy said, “but we want to go after Fran next.” Hali agreed, happy that she was finally in some sort of alliance. Hali said, “I know Troy flopped at final tribal council last time, and Randy annoys people, so that is the perfect combo to go to the end with.” Troy said that they needed one more number, and hoped to get Fishbach on their side. Troy talked to Fishbach about joining up with him, Hali, and Randy. Fishbach knew that he was in an interesting position, having David on one side, but having the trust of three others on the other side. “I have so much power I didn’t expect to have this early in the game,” Stephen said. On the Dangrayne tribe, spirits were still high, as Spencer was happy having Danielle and Gervase as allies. “The only thing is,” Spencer told Danielle, “we need a fourth person to truly get numbers.” Danielle suggested Eliza, as she was a free agent. Danielle told Eliza that she and Spencer wanted to work with her, but didn’t mention Gervase’s name in case Eliza wasn’t fond of Gervase. “I just want to play with somebody,” Eliza said, and shook Danielle’s hand. Brenda seemed to struggle making tight relationships. “I get along with everyone, but this is a much older tribe this time around,” Brenda said, “so I can’t play the flirt card, and have to find a new strategy that works this time around.” At the challenge, the players had to tie their legs to another person on their tribe blindfolded, while someone else called them through a course, collecting blocks to later build a puzzle. For Nobag, Hali sat out and Shii Ann volunteered as caller. For Dangrayne, Eliza sat out and Russell stepped up as caller. For Murlonio, Courtney was the caller. Right away, Murlonio struggled, as Phillip had trouble listening to Courtney’s direction, causing Bobby Jon to get frustrated at him. Shii Ann and Russell did very good jobs navigating their tribes, and they were the first two to start on the puzzle. Stephen took lead on the puzzle with David, while Brenda tried to redeem her outsider image by partnering with Spencer. By the time Nobag and Dangrayne had finished their puzzles, Murlonio was just getting back to the mat, losing immunity for the second time in a row. At camp, Phillip was frustrated with Courtney, but Bobby Jon told off Phillip. “I have one of two options,” Rob said, “I can stick with the tribe and just vote Phillip, or I can keep Phillip for chaos and target the smallest shield, being Bobby Jon.” Rob told Michaela and Courtney that Phillip was the obvious boot, but keeping Phillip around would always act as a good shield. Michaela just didn’t know if she could trust Rob. “After the last vote,” Michaela said, “I just don’t know if I can trust you.” Rob said that to prove his trust, he would vote for Bobby Jon at tribal, pledging his loyalty to Michaela and Courtney, who he secretly wanted to take to the end with Phillip. Peih-Gee and Bobby Jon were set on voting Phillip, but Rob pulled aside Peih-Gee, telling her that they needed to vote Bobby Jon. Peih-Gee was confused, and couldn’t believe what Rob was saying. “As long as Michaela, Courtney, and Phillip are here, we have shields,” Rob said. Peih-Gee wasn’t happy, seeing as how she felt like Bobby Jon was a tight ally. Peih-Gee told Bobby Jon that his name was on the block. “Why would they get rid of their strongest member?” Bobby Jon asked. Bobby Jon then talked to Rob, asking why his name was on the chopping block. “I’ll be honest, I don’t know who’s voting for who,” Rob responded. Bobby Jon was pissed, and went to Peih-Gee, Courtney, and Michaela, saying that Rob was a snake. “Let’s send a message to Rob and vote for Phillip, and then Rob will know he’s on the outs,” Bobby Jon said. At tribal council, Rob said that he thinks he overplayed his hand a bit, in throwing out one too many names. Bobby Jon said that he knew Rob was throwing his name out, and decided to expose his alliance saying “Peih-Gee, Rob, and I were tight from the start, so I don’t know why we can’t just vote Phillip tonight,” Bobby Jon said. Rob said that he needed to think long term, and Bobby Jon was way too big of a threat if the tribes ever swapped. Courtney said that she was glad the heat was off of her, seeing as how she was the caller. “In an ideal world, Phillip would be going home,” Courtney said, “But this is not an ideal world, and this is Survivor.” After the vote, Bobby Jon had hoped his plan worked. Bobby Jon and Peih-Gee voted for Phillip, while Phillip voted for Courtney. Rob voted for Bobby Jon, hoping to show his loyalty to Michaela and Courtney, and still get out Bobby Jon, the smallest shield of the bunch. Michaela and Courtney were the deciding votes, and voted out…Bobby Jon. Bobby Jon was pissed, and Peih-Gee realized that she had lost all her allies. Phillip was happy that he was still in, and Rob realized that he still had control of the tribe. Bobby Jon said on the way out, “Don’t trust Rob, he’s a hard gamer.”
