SURVIVOR: THIRD TIMES THE CHARM Episode 2

Jul 22, 2020 by SurvivorGames
imagePREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: The two-time players arrived at the beach for their third shot. “If I get booted first yet ANOTHER time,” Francesca said, “I don’t know what I’ll do.” Gervase said, “The first season, nobody really knew what to expect. My second time, it was a huge adjustment. Now that I’m used to it, bring it on, I’m ready.” FairPlay said “I was a first boot my second time, so I don’t think my target will be that big. Which is a mistake on their part, because I will win this whole thing.” The three tribes made their way to their beaches. In the Nobag tribe, Troyzan offered to be the leader of the tribe. He and Randy got a head start on the shelter, while Stephen and David bonded. “I think we play a similar game,” Stephen said, “and I think there are plenty of wild cards out here that we need to watch out for.” David agreed, and the two shook hands. Meanwhile, Hali realized that she wasn’t really bonding with anyone. “You have Shii Ann and Francesca gathering water, David and Stephen chopping coconuts, and Randy and Troy doing the shelter,” Hali said, “but nobody seems to notice I’m even here…so I may as well go look for an idol.” Hali slipped away, while her tribe was busy at work, and went searching for the idol. She saw a colored flag hanging from a tree, and decided to use a bamboo branch to knock down the flag. The flag had an image of a triangle of rocks, which she new corresponded to some rocks on the beach. She went to the beach to look, and saw a trio of rocks, and sure enough, the idol was underneath. “I may not have a tight ally, but my immunity idol is going to be my best friend,” Hali said. At the Dangrayne beach, everyone was in perfect harmony building the shelter, with Russell leading the charge. Everyone, except for Eliza, who really didn’t seem to gel with anyone, especially Gervase who seemed to be annoying Eliza to no end. Spencer pulled aside Danielle, saying that the runner-ups needed to work together. “If we pull in Gervase, that’s three,” Spencer said, “and I think we could run this thing.” Danielle wasn’t sure if working with Gervase was smart, since he was already annoying people. “That’s exactly why we need to bring him to the end,” Spencer said. Russell bonded with Debbie, “we’re two of the older members of the tribe, so we have to look out for one another,” he told her. Debbie agreed, saying that she wanted to play with honorable people. Spencer told Gervase his plan to go to the end with him and Danielle, and Gervase was excited, “Dude, let’s run this thing.” As they were walking down the beach, Spencer saw the rocks on his beach and decided to look, “this looks suspicious.” Spencer found the idol, and both he and Gervase celebrated. “Both my first seasons, I started off playing from the bottom,” Spencer said, “but it looks like this season, I’ll be playing with some power.” At the Murlonio camp, Rob could already see the big personalities unfolding. “We’ve got Jonny FairPlay, a huge villain, we have Mr. Crazy person Phillip, and then there’s Courtney and Michaela who get on people’s nerves,” Rob said, “Which means, I have to shield myself with all four of them.” Phillip was annoying Michaela and Courtney already, however, saying that they weren’t pulling their weight in the shelter. FairPlay could see that Phillip was annoying people and saw it as a shield for himself as well. “Phil, you need to keep your calm, and I think we could go deep,” he told Phillip. Phillip told him that Courtney was already annoying him, and was his first target. At the immunity challenge, the tribes had to race through a maze, collecting bags of puzzle pieces, assembling a puzzle for the win. Right out the gate, the Dangrayne tribe was quick through the maze, while the Nobag tribe followed shortly behind. Between Phillip and Courtney, things weren’t as smooth on the Murlonio tribe. Dangrayne was first to the puzzle, with Eliza and Brenda on the puzzle. For the Nobag tribe, Stephen and David decided to take the puzzle and were making fast speed with it. Murlonio put in Peih-Gee and Rob, to which they struggled immediately. Stephen and David were able to finish first for the Nobag tribe, while Eliza and Brenda finished up for the Dangrayne tribe, putting Murlonio as the third place finisher. Francesca celebrated surviving the first boot! Back at camp, Peih-Gee knew that she wanted protection because she failed the puzzle, and went searching for the idol. Luckily, Peih-Gee was able to find it! Rob knew that he wanted FairPlay, Phillip, Courtney, and Michaela as shields, and wanted to target Peih-Gee and Bobby Jon first. “Between the two, Peih-Gee is more of a liability in challenges than Bobby Jon, so Peih-Gee is my target,” Rob said. Rob approached FairPlay and Phillip to propose the Peih-Gee plan, but Phillip had his mind set on Courtney. “To be fair,” FairPlay said, “Courtney is the weakest and we can afford to lose her.” Rob tried talking to Courtney and Michaela, and both seemed set on voting Phillip. “So Phillip and Jonny are going for Courtney, and Courtney and Michaela are going for Phillip,” Rob said, “which means I can’t pull off my plan.” Rob realized he had to work WITH Peih-Gee, and told her that Courtney and Phillip were targeting each other. Peih-Gee told Rob about the idol, solidifying a bond. “I’m glad I didn’t take her out, because now I have her and the idol on my side,” Rob said. Peih-Gee said that keeping both Phillip and Courtney could help them, as they would always target one another. “So you think we should go for FairPlay or Michaela?” Rob asked. Peih-Gee said that Michaela was vital in challenges, and FairPlay was probably the most expendable. “Originally, I wanted all four of them to be shields,” Rob said, “But if one is to be sacrificed, it would make sense to keep Phillip and Courtney at each other’s throats and keep Michaela for challenge purposes.” Peih-Gee talked to Bobby Jon, who didn’t really have a clue what the tribe’s dynamics were. “As long as I’m safe,” Bobby Jon said, “that’s fine with me.” At tribal council, Phillip said that Courtney was a venom, and was dragging the team down. Michaela combatted, saying that Phillip kept running his mouth, and put a bigger target on his back. FairPlay laughed, knowing that he was with some crazy personalities. “And I thought I was crazy,” Fairplay said. Rob said that this vote would mean a lot of things, but mostly keep the stronger people in the game. “You have to keep strong performers as well as strong allies,” he said. After the vote, Phillip smirked, knowing he would see Courtney go. Courtney got two votes—from FairPlay and Phillip. Phillip got two votes from Courtney and Michaela. Jonny got two votes from Peih-Gee and Bobby Jon. Rob was the deciding vote, and voted out Jonny FairPlay, shocking him. “I guess I’m meant to be the first boot,” FairPlay said. Phillip was confused, as was Courtney, but everyone else was just grateful it wasn’t them.
