SURVIVOR: WINNERS AT COMBAT Finale Part 4 (Reunion Show)

Jul 20, 2020 by SurvivorGames
imagePREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR:  The jury got to address Vecepia and Jenna. Bob was first, and didn’t have much to say. “I didn’t get to play with either of you, so I’ll just ask why you think your Survivor legacy earns you this two million?” Vecepia said that she was the first African-American woman to win, and she still felt like the Survivor community didn’t appreciate her victory, and she wanted to prove herself here. Jenna said that coming off of Amazon, she knew Rob was the one people wanted to see win, and in All-Stars she had to leave early. This was her time to redeem herself and prove that she was a worthy winner and had what it took to make it on an all returnee season after all. Brian was next, also having not played with either, saying “In this game, it’s about getting your hands dirty, and I think one of you definitely proved that you were willing to do whatever it took to get ahead. Congrats.” Cochran was next and asked Jenna who’s idea it was to flip and vote him out. Jenna said that Todd had created the idea, but that she was instrumental in still making the plan work. Cochran said that it seemed like it was all Todd’s move, and she just seemed to follow Todd around most of the time. Fabio asked why Vecepia deserved his vote and respect, and Vecepia said that she was loyal to her people, Natalie and Tom, and ultimately, it meant that either Tommy or Fabio had to go. “Tommy threw you under the bus, he was the one with loyalties from you, not me,” Vecepia said. Fabio respected the answer and said “I wish we had been on the same side, because you’re a hell of a competitor.” Tommy asked why Vecepia would help him make fire, only to vote him out. “It was probably a regret, but up until my vote, I had a possibility of keeping you around,” Vecepia said, “But I felt like my bond with Natalie was more worth preserving, so I stuck to voting with her to send you home.” Chris D. said he hadn’t played with either, but asked Jenna a simple question, “did you do anything in this game until Todd was blindsided?” Jenna responded saying, “I had to make that bond with Todd to begin with. I knowingly put myself in the minority, because I prioritized a social bond rather than a strategic one, and we were able to find the crack and send Cochran out, and I think I actually was more instrumental than people give me credit for.” Aras apologized to Jenna saying, “I tried turning on Todd, and you guys were able to get a one up on me. I think you did stick by his side, but your game proves that you were able to make it without Todd, and I’m proud of you for that.” Jenna thanked Aras. Richard was next and told Jenna that he was disappointed, seeing as how Vecepia fought to be in the numbers, whereas Jenna just kinda swayed to where the numbers were. “I definitely think I fought for the numbers,” Jenna said, “They could’ve easily taken me out at the Natalie vote, but they decided to split up V and Natalie instead of taking out the easy out.” Richard argued, “but isn’t that a testament to Vecepia’s game that they needed to split up her power duo?” Vecepia chimed in, saying, “Jenna was played by Tina, Earl, and JT to vote out Natalie, and then by me to split up Tina, Earl, and JT. I love Jenna, but she was always persuaded, and never did the persuading.” Todd was next and told Jenna that he loved playing the game alongside her. “I think it’s worth noting that everything you did in this game, whether bold or not, was done out of respect, and I think Vecepia went about it in a slimier way,” Todd said. “You won just as many immunities as she did, and I think people are underestimating you.” Mike was next and agreed with Todd, saying that Jenna, while slightly less visible, still won a bunch of challenges, and didn’t have it easy. “Losing Todd, myself, and Chris Underwood back to back to back….that really put Jenna on the outs,” Mike said, “and you can argue that Tina manipulated Jenna, but in the end, it was Jenna’s decision to flip or not to flip.” Chris Underwood was next and asked Vecepia who had a better physical game. “We both won the same amount of immunities,” Vecepia said, to which Chris argued, “But do you take the pre-merge into consideration at all? Jenna’s tribe went to tribal once, and yours was decimated down to two people.” Vecepia said that her tribe lost a lot, but it was not her doing, it was just depending on the challenge and the specific circumstance. “It’s a game of luck, and I think my tribe wasn’t lucky, but that doesn’t solely shine on my own strengths, which I think I proved in the post-merge,” Vecepia said. Natalie was next and said “this is an easy decision, but I do want to tell the jury that most of the decisions we made together were primarily Vecepia’s decisions first. She owned this game.” JT was next and said he was conflicted. “Vecepia, you made the plan to get me out. And Jenna, you went along with it.” JT was angry at Vecepia for the plan, but upset at Jenna for flipping. “Do I choose to reward the person who stabbed me in the front, or in the back? That’s the question,” JT said. Tom was next and asked both Jenna and Vecepia to say why the OTHER person deserved to win. Vecepia said that Jenna was easier to get along with, and was better at forming relationships throughout, always having different roads to navigate. Jenna said that Vecepia went from having only one other ally in the merge to being in the finale, which was super impressive. Earl was next and asked Vecepia if she wanted to humiliate him. “Not at all,” Vecepia said, “If anything, I wanted to humble you, because you were the nicest guy here, and if we let you sit in the end, you’d win.” Earl asked Jenna if it was her idea or Vecepia’s. “It was Vecepia’s idea, but I was in charge of trying to get you to flip on Tina, and without me, it wouldn’t have worked,” Jenna said. Tina was last and asked Vecepia if she had won, who she would’ve chosen. “I probably would’ve picked Jenna,” Vecepia said. “I know we had a deal, but both of us knew that both Jenna and I needed to take you out to have a shot.” Tina said that she respected both women’s games, and said it was an honor to play with both.
