SURVIVOR: WINNERS AT COMBAT Episode 13b

Jul 12, 2020 by SurvivorGames
imageRULES FOR EDGE: Here is how the Edge will work. Depending on the episode they left, the Edge folks will have their name put into Random.org that many times. For example, Bob went home in episode 1, so Bob’s name will be in the Random.org generator ONCE, meanwhile Tom and Chris made it to episode 6, so their names will be in the Random.org generator SIX times. This keeps it fair, and gives more credit to the players who actually lasted longer in the season.

PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR:  JT arrived at the Edge ready to dominate and get back in. Richard, having won the first Edge challenge, knew that he was mentally ready to win another, while Natalie was threatened being the only girl there. “If I can beat all these guys,” Natalie said, “Then I deserve to not only make it back into the game, but win this whole thing.” Aras was getting bad flashbacks of Blood vs. Water, “I’m glad Tina’s not here now, because she won redemption island on our season, but I’m still intimidated, seeing that my track record isn’t too strong,” he said. Mike was the most angry with his elimination, saying “I didn’t even get voted out. I’m the most deserving of a second shot here.” Chris Underwood felt like he had it in the bag, saying “I have been here before, I’ve won before, nobody else knows what it’s like to come back and make a winning stretch like me.” Todd knew he wasn’t great in competitions, but wanted to give it his all. Bob, who had been at the Edge all season, felt tired and just wanted to either get his shot to play or be on the jury for good. “I’m so exhausted,” he said, “But if I can win this, I better win it all.” Cochran saw the competition, and laughed saying “Winning, for me, is not raising the flag, so in that sense, I’m already a winner.” Brian, Fabio, Tommy, Tom, and Chris D. had—like Cochran and Bob—all been there before, and were ready to get yet another shot of returning. “As long as Hatch doesn’t beat me again,” Tom said, “then I’m satisfied.” The vote-offs made their way into the Edge of Extinction arena. Vecepia, Earl, Tina, and Jenna sat by, wondering who would be rejoining the cast. The losers would all be on the jury, with no shot of winning the game. The challenge involved the contestants racing through an obstacle rope course. After finishing, they had to break three tiles, and then assemble a slide puzzle. First to finish would return back into the game. Right out the gate, Chris Underwood, Aras, and JT flew through the ropes maze, while Bob surprisingly found it pretty easy as well. Natalie, Richard, and Brian were all surprisingly struggling, with Todd at the very back of the pack. Once the tile throwing began, Aras got the head start, while Chris Underwood and JT were making it out of the ropes maze, and followed closely by Tommy and Mike Holloway. JT was first to break his second tile, while Chris U, Aras, and Mike had each had one. By this point, Bob, Cochran, and Tom Westman were out of the ropes. Right away, Tom Westman broke two tiles, threatening everyone, whereas Bob hit a tile right away. JT broke his final tile and made his way to the slide puzzle. Bob hit his second tile, while Tom hit his third. Cochran was finally hitting tiles, while Chris Underwood, Aras, Tommy, and Mike were all working on their last tile. It was Tom and JT working on the slide puzzle, and Tom was gaining momentum on JT. Aras, Tommy, and Cochran hit their third tiles, and Cochran immediately started work on the slide puzzle, extra quickly. Bob hit his third tile, and was also working on his puzzle. Aras, Tommy, and JT were all struggling, while Tom was making good work of his, and Cochran and Bob were speeding through theirs. Chris Underwood finally got his last tile, and wanted so badly to make up for the slowness on the tiles with his puzzle, but was struggling. Cochran was almost catching up to Tom, and Bob was shortly behind, but Tom was able to finish the slide puzzle just in time, winning the challenge, and returning back into the competition. Bob and Cochran were surprised at how close they were, and JT was pissed that he gave away his lead. Fabio and Todd laughed, seeing how far behind they were. “I’m shocked I was so bad at the ropes,” Fabio said. The group of jurors made their way to ponderosa, while Tom Westman joined the game for his first REAL merge in Survivor history. “In my first game, Steph was absorbed into the tribe. I was voted out early of Heroes vs. Villains. Now, I’m in this merged Probst tribe,” Tom said, “And win or lose, I’m grateful for that opportunity to show what I’ve got.” Vecepia was a bit worried, since she was part of the reason Tom was sent packing in the first place.
