SURVIVOR: WINNERS AT COMBAT Episode 11

Jul 5, 2020 by SurvivorGames
imagePREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: Back at camp, Earl was upset that Vecepia didn’t tell him the plan. Vecepia said that it all worked out, and it needed to go a certain way to ensure that the right idols were played. Tina was mad that Vecepia controlled the vote, but also knew that this put them at an advantage over Jenna, Mike, and Chris, the more dominant trio. Chris was upset that he flushed his idol, and Tina realized she was probably the only person in the game with one, and she had TWO. Tina knew that an idol may have been re-hidden, and decided to go searching for another. Knowing his neck was on the line, Chris went searching for an idol as well. Underwood was able to find it under a small waterfall behind a stone. He was grateful and showed Mike and Jenna. “This is our key to the rest of the game,” he told them. At the immunity challenge, it was revealed that the LOSER would head straight to the Edge of Extinction. Everyone was on edge about going to The Edge. The challenge was to stack small tiles until it passed a certain threshold. First one to stack their tower to the top would win, last one would be sent packing. Off with a bang, the contestants started going fast, except for Jenna and JT who tried to stay slow. Mike and Earl kept stumbling, and Tina struggled to even get a few up. Chris Underwood looked like he was in the lead, but his whole tower fell. Natalie and Vecepia were slowly behind Jenna and JT, the leaders, while Mike and Earl finally rebuilt. Tina finally found a foundation, but was far behind the rest. Knowing she had two idols, Tina couldn’t risk losing this. JT and Jenna were neck and neck, after their “slow and steady” approach, and JT was able to get the top first, with Jenna close behind. JT won immunity. Next were Natalie and Vecepia. Three spots left. Chris Underwood got his to the spot he needed and was safe. Earl was close, as was Mike, with Tina far behind. Suddenly, Earl’s tower dropped, forcing him to start over, while Mike was a few tiles away from winning. Tina, in a mind game, decided to start chatting it up with Mike, which distracted Mike and caused his tower to drop as well. Tina was able to be the next finished, saving herself. It was a battle between Earl and Mike, and in the end, Earl got his tower finished first. Mike was out. Mike couldn’t believe it, and was so disappointed that this was the way he’d go, on a challenge, being a previous challenge beast. “Little tiles got the best of me,” Mike said, as he headed to the Edge of Extinction. Back at camp, JT, Tina, and Earl met, planning to go after Chris Underwood. “What if he has the idol?” Earl asked. JT recommended using Natalie and Vecepia and splitting the votes. Tina was worried that the two girls wouldn’t hold up their end, and had to guarantee that Chris didn’t play the idol on himself, and they could get him out with three votes only. Tina talked to Chris, telling him that he seemed on the outs, and the way he could join their trio was by voting out Jenna. Chris didn’t like the idea of voting for Jenna, but Tina told him that everyone was voting for her because she was fastest in the challenge behind JT. Little did Chris know that Tina was setting him up for disaster. Chris didn’t like this, and told Jenna that all the votes were coming her way. As a last ditch effort, Chris said he’d play the idol for Jenna. “We play the idol for you, and we blindside Earl, their biggest guy,” Chris said. Tina told Earl and JT that Chris now knew though Jenna was getting votes and would likely try to save her with an idol, which would be the perfect opportunity to put votes on Chris. “Let’s still have Vecepia and Natalie vote for Jenna in case, but the three of us vote Chris, and if Chris plays the idol for anyone else but himself, he goes,” Tina said. Earl talked to Vecepia and Natalie about splitting votes, and Vecepia sounded comfortable doing that. Natalie was a bit nervous, knowing that joining a group of five would just put her and V at the bottom. At tribal council, Chris said that the game was going to get much harder, and it was down to him and Jenna. “I know that the game is getting much smaller, and it becomes a question of who you can position yourself with best to win the game, not just make it to the end,” Chris said. Before the votes were read, Chris stood up to play the idol. “I know that you guys are gunning for Jenna, but I couldn’t let her go out that way,” Chris said, playing the idol on Jenna. Tina smirked, knowing that her plan was in motion. Vecepia and Natalie’s votes for Jenna didn’t count. Earl got two votes from Chris and Jenna. The next vote that came in was for…Chris. Chris was shocked, not expecting to get votes. The final two votes were for…Chris. Chris couldn’t believe that he didn’t play the idol for himself. “If I had voted for Jenna, I’d force a 3-3-1 tie, and if I had played the idol for myself, I wouldn’t be going at all,” Chris said. Tina had tricked him, and Chris knew that she was playing hard. Tina was happy she still had her two idols, and was able to flush another one. Jenna felt bad, but was happy that her votes didn’t count, and that she lived on another day, even if it meant she was alone. “Hey,” Natalie said, “no woman has been voted out yet,” and she high-fived Tina and Vecepia. Jenna smiled, knowing that this could possibly help her game in the future. Chris went to his favorite place, the Edge of Extinction. “A familiar sight,” he said, ready to put his head in the game.
