SURVIVOR: WINNERS AT COMBAT Episode 5

Jun 2, 2020 by SurvivorGames
imagePREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: Brian and Cochran both arrived at the Edge. Brian was angry, and didn’t really talk to anyone, while Cochran made a fire with Bob and Hatch and bonded, hoping to return to the game again sometime soon. At the Vlachos tribe, Chris Underwood was upset and confronted Mike and Aras. “Why didn’t you tell me it was Cochran?” he asked, to which Mike replied, “We knew you and Cochran were working together, and didn’t want to risk that power duo.” Aras added in, “you’re lucky we didn’t boot you, Chris.” Chris was upset with this. Todd and Jenna couldn’t help but laugh and enjoy the fighting ensuing. “I just went from the most vulnerable,” Todd said in confessional, “to the one with the least bit of heat and attention on myself.” Chris Underwood thought it was silly that they booted Cochran instead, knowing he still had the idol when he needed it. At the Mariano tribe, Fabio kept up trying to please the tribe by catching fish. Tommy said that Fabio was definitely trying really hard, and it almost worried him, hoping the tribe wouldn’t favor Fabio over himself. At the Lacina tribe, everyone seemed to be getting along especially better with Brian gone. At the immunity challenge, the three tribes had to participate in a water obstacle course, ending in throwing three rings on pegs. Vecepia and Todd sat out. Out of the gate, Fabio was ahead for Mariano, but the rest of the tribe was having trouble keeping up. The Lacina tribe was fairly slow out the gate too. In the lead by a landslide was Aras, Mike, and Chris’s led Vlachos tribe. The tribe seemed to sweep past the water obstacle, with Chris taking the lead in throwing rings. Mariano tribe finally caught up, with Tommy taking a swing at the rings. The Lacina tribe was far behind, and finally caught up to the rest. Chris landed his third ring, winning for Vlachos, while Tommy sunk one of his rings. J.T. was there to catch up the ring tossing, and ended up passing Tommy with 2 rings. Lacina tribe won immunity. The Mariano tribe went back to camp, upset at the loss. Fabio and Tommy met up, and Fabio’s plan was to try and flip Natalie against Tom Westman. Tommy was worried that Natalie, Vecepia, and Tom Westman would all be disappointed in his challenge performance. “I know it’s a long shot getting Natalie to flip on Tom, but I might be able to save my own skin by unfortunately throwing Fabio under the bus,” Tommy said. Tommy talked to Natalie and said that Fabio was trying to flip the numbers on Tom. “Listen,” Tommy said, “I know I was not the best in the challenge, but I think Fabio is a more unpredictable player than I am and I think you all should consider taking him out over me.” Natalie told Tom and Vecepia this. Tom was surprised, but said that maybe Fabio would be a better person to get rid of than Tommy. “Tommy blew it in the challenge,” Tom said, “but Fabio is a much bigger threat long-term, and I don’t think it’s going to get better, whereas we can use Tommy as a number.” Fabio talked to Natalie about the plan to get rid of Tom, but Natalie had subtly hinted that she wasn’t interested. Fabio talked to Tommy and wondered how he was going to fix this. Tommy wasn’t sure if he should tell Fabio his plan, or keep silent. Tommy decided against it. At tribal council, Fabio said that he was hoping the numbers would be on his side, but was worried that him and Tommy would be on the chopping block. Tommy knew that his butt was in more danger because he was weak in the challenge, but hoped his social bonds would save him. Fabio said that getting rid of him would be pointless, as he was the strongest challenge performer. After the vote, Tom got one vote from Fabio, while Fabio got a vote from Tom. The next two votes came in for Fabio, shocking him, and the final vote, from Tommy, went for Fabio as well. “All the votes?” a confused Fabio asked, looking at Tommy. “I’m sorry buddy, I didn’t want it to be me,” Tommy said. Fabio was upset, “they had the numbers, you didn’t have to do that.” Fabio was distraught, saying “y’all are going to lose challenges now guys.” Tommy felt bad, but knew that if he hadn’t flipped on Fabio, Natalie, Tom, and Vecepia would’ve probably voted Tommy out anyway. Fabio chose to go to Edge of Extinction and hopefully battle his way back.
