SURVIVOR: WINNERS AT COMBAT Episode 2

May 24, 2020 by SurvivorGames
imagePREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: The eighteen winners arrived for a shot at two million dollars more. Amongst them, the first winner ever, Richard Hatch. The recent Edge of Extinction returnee, Chris Underwood. Legends like J.T., Tina, Aras, and Cochran. It was going to be an epic battle. The first challenge was off, and the tribes had to play a game of water basketball, attempting to land balls in nets while others would defend against them. First to three baskets would win. Immediately, Fabio scored a basket for the Mariano tribe, showing his worth to his tribe. Chris Underoowd and Mike Holloway played great defense for the Vlachos tribe, allowing Aras to score two baskets for them. The Lacina tribe was trailing, but a shot from Brian Heidik helped put them back in the race. Tommy Sheehan hit the next basket. Jenna Morasca wanted to prove herself as one of the only women of the season, while Fabio was hungry for another basket. Both sunk shots, giving both the Mariano and Vlachos tribes immunity. Back at the Mariano camp, the tribe celebrated, and Tommy told Fabio that he liked his tenacity and effort. “I’d like to link up with Tom and Vecepia and take this all the way,” Tommy said. Richard could sense that not many people were speaking to him, so he went to Natalie. “I feel like we’re on the outs,” Hatch told her. Natalie was hoping Richard would be loyal. “I played with Russell on my season, and it worked out well for me,” Natalie said, “I just hope I can do the same thing this time around and basically play good cop bad cop with Hatch.” Natalie knew many felt her win was undeserving, and wanted to prove herself. At the Vlachos tribe, Aras, Mike, and Underwood were celebrating their win. Todd and Cochran were bonding at the campfire, realizing that the three other guys were very tight and strong. “What we need,” Cochran said, “is for Jenna to trust us. We can’t win against those three in a physical challenge.” Todd agreed, hoping that Jenna would be willing to help them split apart the three strong guys. Chris Underwood told Aras that he saw a lot of himself in his gameplay, and Aras appreciated it. “I originally didn’t know how to feel about Chris,” Aras said, “given that he won the game after only playing around 11 days. But I do think he’s a strong competitor and between him, Mike, and I’s strength paired with Cochran’s brains, I don’t see us losing anytime soon.” At the Lacina tribe, Tina knew she was going to be targeted and talked to J.T. “I was out first in All-Stars, you were out early in Game Changers,” she told J.T. “We need to stick together since we’ve played this game a bunch, and I think we need to try to spin the tribe on someone weaker like Bob or Chris.” J.T. originally wanted Brian out first, seeing him as a villain, but knew that Brian was the only scorer for his tribe today, and he wanted to keep him around for challenges. J.T. talked to Earl, hoping to make a deal. Earl said that he didn’t really get a good vibe from Brian or Chris, and that Bob was just older and could be dead weight. “I think we need to prioritize challenge strength,” J.T. said, “and once we get Bob out, we can then set our sights on Chris or Brian.” Bob was hoping to make some social bonds and talked to Tina. Tina felt bad, knowing Bob was probably going to be on the chopping block, and was starting to think maybe Chris was the way to go. “Chris isn’t the most social player,” Tina said, “and he seems to be one of the weaker ones on our tribe next to Bob and I.” Tina knew she’d be seen as weaker if Bob left, and talked to J.T. Tina was concerned, but J.T. assured her that she was okay, and that they needed to be united and stay with the majority instead of stirring things up. Chris and Brian talked, and Brian didn’t really know where anyone stood. “I’m going to assume Bob or Tina,” Chris said, to which Brian responded, “Bob just seems like an outlier at this point because of his age, and I don’t think he’ll take it personally.” At tribal council, Tina expressed that she was worried a target would be on her back. Brian said he felt like his reputation could put a target on his back, but hoped his challenge performance could attest to it. Bob said that he felt like the tribe was jelling pretty well. After the vote, Tina held her hands in prayer. The first votes, from Chris and Brian, went for Bob, while Bob’s vote went for Chris. Tina, J.T., and Earl all united and voted for Bob, making Bob the first winner voted out of Winners at Combat. Bob wasn’t upset, and knew he would have a target being one of the eldest on his tribe. Bob left tribal, but noticed that he could have the opportunity to go to Extinction Island. “Of course I’m going,” Bob said. Bob got on the boat and headed to the Edge of Extinction.
