SURVIVOR: RANDOMIZED Finale Part 4 (Reunion Show)

May 23, 2020 by SurvivorGames
imagePREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: The jury got to address Angela and Brendan. Tijuana was first and asked Angela if her strategic game matched her physical game. Angela responded saying that she never felt secure in an alliance, and always had to fit herself in with the best group possible, not knowing how things would go day by day. “By the end,” Angela said, “I had three people who wanted to go to final two with me, Gavin, Ronnie, and Brendan.” Tijuana told Angela that what she did to Ronnie was unfathomable and unacceptable. Ken was next, and asked Angela why she would turn on her entire tribe. Angela said that she felt like an outsider, and didn’t feel like she could beat any of the pairs, and Kenny and Michelle were the best pair left. Kenny asked Brendan how his strategic game stacked up, and Brendan said that he just rode a really tight alliance to the end, and the only person who opposed him from that alliance (Gavin) was the only person he ever felt truly threatened by. “Is that luck with numbers or strategy?” Kenny asked, and Brendan said it was more social, as he needed to make that bond, but once people like Gavin started playing against the alliance, he did all he could to readjust. Tyler was next, and asked Brendan who’s idea it was to split him and Jill despite their fight, and Brendan said that Chris should get credit for spotting the “acting” between them, and that Chris was able to tell that Tyler and Jill weren’t really in a fight. Tyler respected Brendan for giving credit to Chris, where credit was due. Jill was next and told Angela that she didn’t respect her social or strategic game. “The only reason everybody wanted a final two with you was because you had immunity,” Jill said. “Brendan, we didn’t talk much, but you were such a big threat and made it to the end, and I think that’s admirable.” Michelle was next, and told Angela that she was a coward, and never stood up for herself or made big moves. “The ONLY time you made a huge move was sending Ronnie home,” Michelle said, “but you sent home a guy who wasn’t too well liked, and took BRENDAN, the most likable guy out here. Big moves aren’t always smart moves.” Angela said she needed a big move for her resume to make up her strategic game, but Michelle argued that some moves just don’t make sense, especially that late in the game. Devon was next, and told Brendan he appreciated his loyalty, and asked how he outplayed Angela. Brendan said that he didn’t outplay Angela in challenges, but he was able to lead his tribe to victories in the pre-merge that set his alliance up for success. Chris was next and also commended Brendan’s game, saying that he respected every move he made. Gavin was next and made a speech to the jury. “This whole game, I wanted to work with the noblest guys, but it was always my intention to take Brendan out. He was my white whale, as I knew he’d steamroll the game with the jury. Every time I tried to take him out, I failed, but he saw the goodness in me and still gave me a fighting chance until the very end when I finally went after him again, and I appreciate the battle. With that, I’m going to stay true to my mission all season to write my name down when given every opportunity, and I can’t wait to write your name down, this time to WIN, as you truly outplayed me, and proved my fears right, that if you made it to the end, you’d win. You made it to the end, something nobody else could do except Angela who went back on so many words. You stayed true to your word, and I respect that, which is exactly why I didn’t want you sitting there. Well played.” Gavin sat back down, and the jury clapped for Gavin’s speech. Ronnie was last and told Angela he was incredibly hurt by her actions, and wanted to ask for an apology. Angela said that she felt like Ronnie would take too much credit for her moves, and Ronnie argued, “Angela, we made so many moves together, and all you would have to say was that you won five immunities, and you would’ve won!” Angela said that she regrets it now, but felt like Brendan really helped her out in the endgame getting Gavin out, as Gavin was the toughest player this season, and she owed it to him. Ronnie said he disrespected the move, but wanted to show her that his loyalty meant something to him.

In the end, the voting turned out like this:

Tijuana- Brendan

NEXT SEASON PREVIEW: We saw twenty winners at war, and Tony became the second person to win the game twice. But what about the 18 who weren’t chosen? We never get to see how they’d stack up against a whole batch of winners. Well, guess what? Despite some saying they’d never come back again (um Cochran), we’re getting all 18 of the other winners back for SURVIVOR: WINNERS AT COMBAT. That’s right. Not war, combat. Same thing. Let’s see how this goes.
