PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: Angela felt solid in the group, but realized that Brendan, Ronnie, and Gavin were all expecting a final two with her. “I’m going to have to burn a relationship or two,” Angela said, “but the last thing I want is for the three of them to realize that I’m their number one, and then turn on me.” Ronnie talked to Angela saying that he was surprised she voted out Chris. “Are you and Gavin tighter than I thought?” Ronnie asked, but Angela said “I think Chris was just the biggest threat to us as a whole, and Gavin we can take out easier than Chris.” Brendan knew that Angela had his best interests in mind, but Ronnie and Gavin didn’t. He talked to Angela saying “I really want to be in a Ghost Island final two, and I know you and Ronnie have been tight since the merge, so I’d love to go for Gavin.” Angela saw this, and thought it was probably best to get rid of Gavin next. Gavin, however, thought Angela was 100% with him, saying “So Brendan is next, and then we can duke it out, Me you and Ronnie.” At the immunity challenge, Angela knew she wanted to keep up her win streak. The challenge was a breathing challenge, where the contestants had to hold their breath under water, simple as that. Ronnie popped up first, followed by Gavin. It was down to Brendan and Angela, and not being able to handle it, Brendan popped up, giving Angela another immunity win, her third in a row. Back at camp, Brendan told Angela that he knew Gavin was probably going after him, and he’d be leaving his fate in Ronnie and Angela’s hands. Angela talked to Ronnie, who thought it was a no-brainer that Brendan should go. But Angela said that she wanted Gavin to go, since Gavin had already been to final tribal. “He almost won the first time, I’m just worried he’ll sway a jury,” Angela said. Ronnie didn’t seem on board. At tribal council, Gavin said that he felt confident with his trio of Angela and Ronnie, and that Brendan was on the outs. Brendan said that he was grateful to make it so far and was hoping for the best. In the end, Angela and Brendan voted for Gavin, while Gavin voted for Brendan. It was down to Ronnie, who voted for Gavin, showing his allegiance to Angela. “I hope you’re right,” Ronnie whispered to Angela. Gavin was upset he was going home, but proud of how far he made it. Brendan breathed a sigh of relief that he didn’t have to participate in fire-making.
