PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: With Tyler going home, Jill and Michelle knew they were on the outside looking in. Angela and Ronnie realized they were also out of the loop. “Brendan, Gavin, Chris, and Devon are running this whole show,” Ronnie said, “and we need to use Jill and Michelle to get back at them.” Ronnie pulled together Jill and Michelle. “I know we’ve had differences,” Ronnie said, “but that foursome is going to steamroll us like they did the Ostrich tribe, and I think we need to go up against them and take the head of the dragon off, which is Brendan.” Michelle felt that Devon was more of a late-game threat, and Jill thought that Gavin would fly under the radar. Angela said that they’d decide who to boot depending on who won immunity, and hopefully they’d be able to force a tie and get Chris to flip. At the immunity challenge, it was revealed that whoever came in LAST would be eliminated immediately. This scared Angela, Ronnie, Jill, and Michelle, because this meant that they couldn’t force a tie vote at tribal, since one side would be down in numbers. Ronnie whispered, “we just have to beat one of them and slow one down.” The challenge was an obstacle course. After each obstacle, a machete was used to chop a rope and drop a bag of pieces. At the end, they would assemble a ladder to climb to the top and grab immunity. Last one up would be GONE from the competition. Angela knew that she’d be slow, as did Michelle, but they all just hoped that Gavin, Brendan, Devon, or Chris would be slow. Right out the gate, Devon, Chris, and Ronnie seemed to come out in front. Finishing the obstacles, Chris gave the machete one single chop and was able to make the ropes break. Devon took a few swings. Brendan was gaining on them as well. Jill, Angela, and Michelle realized how far behind they were, and assumed that one of them would end up losing the challenge. Chris got to the ladders first, but Devon was on his tail. Chris was quick up the ladder and won immunity, Devon slightly behind him. Next was Brendan, then Ronnie. Angela, Michelle, and Jill hoped that Gavin would somehow mess up on the ladder, but sure enough, Gavin got to the top. Angela was next up, quickly assembling the ladder. Michelle had struggles with the ladder, as did Jill, but ultimately Michelle got to the top first, sending Jill to the jury. Jill was upset, but knew she did her best. Back at camp, Angela, Michelle, and Ronnie knew their plan was foiled. “I guess we have to still try and sway Chris or Gavin, right?” Michelle said. Angela thought it was worth a try, but Ronnie knew he was probably better just siding with the boys. Ronnie talked to Gavin and asked if there was any chance he’d flip on Brendan or Devon. “At this point,” Gavin said, “I’d love to take a top dog out, but think it’s just too early, and want to have a secure majority first.” Ronnie approached Chris, who also seemed hesitant. Ronnie knew it might have been hopeless. Michelle talked to Devon, and Devon said that the plan was probably either her, Angela, or Ronnie. Michelle said that Ronnie and Angela were tight and she’d vote for one of them. Chris, Devon, Gavin, and Brendan met to decide who to boot. “I think Ronnie would be the most likely number down the line, and Michelle is definitely the most strategic,” Brendan said. Michelle told Angela that she probably had to vote for her at tribal, and Angela understood. “I guess I have to vote for you too,” Angela said. At tribal council, Angela was upset, knowing she had nowhere to go. Michelle said that she wanted to keep fighting, and felt like she deserved a spot in the top 6. Chris said having immunity felt good, and it was always tough to lose another member, but he’s glad that his alliance had the majority. At the vote, Ronnie stuck with his word to Angela and Michelle and voted for Brendan. Michelle and Angela voted for each other. It came down to the four guys (Chris, Devon, Gavin, and Brendan), who all voted for Michelle, sending her home. The last Old School player was out, and Angela was the last woman standing.
