PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: At the seventh Redemption Island duel, Rob and Colby had to hug a pole. Once they started to slip, it would get tougher on their bodies, and the first person to fall would be out. Rob knew he had to hang on. Colby knew that his challenge performance wasn’t the same it used to be on Australia or All-Stars, so he knew this was his chance for seasonal redemption as well. The two were on the pole, and didn’t budge for a few minutes. Rob started to feel the pain in his arms, while Colby felt his legs going weak. Colby slid down the pole, hoping it would help being closer to gravity. Rob was really struggling and told Colby he’d be eternally grateful if he dropped. “No chance Rob,” Colby said. Rob slipped down, ending his Survivor: Rivals journey, and giving Colby the win. At the Nemeses camp, Sugar talked to Francesca about the plan if they lost, and Francesca was once again acting distant. “I’m a bit worried, since Francesca didn’t tell me much,” Sugar said, “so I really need a win today.” On the Foes tribe, morale was high from winning, but the tribe still seemed on edge. Alison and Fabio kept their distance from the rest of their tribe, while Angelina and Russell were definitely at odds, and Abi laid around camp all day. “If we keep sitting Abi out,” Russell said, “I don’t see how we lose.” At the Enemies camp, Corinne and Chris had an emotional pow-wow, knowing if they lost, they’d have to make fire. At the immunity challenge, the competition was a blind relay race. One team member would be blindfolded and in the maze, and the other member would be a caller. Since Enemies only had 2 people, both competed, Corinne as the caller. The Foes put up Fabio with Alison as a caller. For the Nemeses tribe, Terry wanted to be the caller, but Francesca begged to do it, and ended up being the caller for Domenick after a long debate. Fabio and Alison took a deep lead, with Corinne and Chris right behind. Francesca and Domenick were having major communication issues, with Domenick being frustrated with Francesca’s calling. Chris and Corinne were finally getting the groove, and Chris eventually passed Fabio. In a near photo-finish, Chris crossed the line first, with Fabio shortly behind, giving the Enemies and Foes immunity. Corinne and Chris celebrated their big win, since they were down to two people, while the Foes also celebrated not having to go to tribal council again. Back at the Nemeses camp, Domenick was frustrated, and Terry calmed him down, saying the plan was to vote for Sugar. Domenick said he wasn’t even sure if Sugar should go, since Francesca royally screwed up the challenge. Francesca talked to Domenick about voting out Sugar, but Domenick didn’t want to talk to her. “I just felt left in the dust,” Domenick said, “and I wish we could’ve put in Terry like we planned.” Francesca saw that Domenick was mad, and decided to go back to Sugar. “I think Dom is voting me, so I am willing to vote with you and force a tie,” Fran told Sugar. Sugar knew that Francesca was hesitant to work with her, so she gave her a nice offer, “what if I can make sure you don’t even have to make fire?” Sugar said. Francesca didn’t catch on. “We need to convince Terry to vote for me, and Dom to vote for you, that way we BOTH can vote for Domenick,” Sugar said. Fran didn’t know if this was gonna work. Francesca talked to Terry and said, “If me and you vote for Sugar, we should be set. I trust you 100%.” Terry told Fran that there was a good chance that Domenick would vote for her. She knew that, but said that it wouldn’t matter since her and Terry still had the two votes needed to send Sugar out. Meanwhile, Sugar talked to Domenick and said, “Listen, I know we haven’t been on the same page, but I’m willing to vote for Francesca,” hoping to make sure he voted for Francesca. “I’m pretty sure Fran and Terry are gonna vote for me, and I’m ready to go to fire and prove myself,” she said. Domenick didn’t want to work with Sugar, but also felt like this was the best way to secure him and Terry’s safety and let Sugar and Francesca duke it out. Terry told Dom that he was voting for Sugar, and Dom said that it was fine, “I’m gonna vote for Fran, and we can let them duke it out in fire,” he said. Dom and Terry were happy, knowing they were going to be in the merge together. At tribal council, Sugar acknowledged that she was on the outs, but hoped that she could at least prove herself in fire. Francesca knew she was to blame for the loss, and just wanted to earn Domenick’s respect back. After the vote, Dom and Terry fully prepared for the tiebreaker. Sugar received one vote, and Francesca received one vote. The next vote was for Domenick, confusing both Dom and Terry. The final vote…Domenick. Domenick couldn’t believe that the girls tricked him again. “I gotta stop falling for this bullshit,” he said. Dom made his way to Redemption Island. The tribes found out that they, along with the Redemption Island returnee, would be merged!
