PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: At the first Redemption Island battle, Phillip and Judd had to build a ladder with puzzle pieces and climb to the top and pull a string to release a bag. Using the bag of balls, they had to throw three balls at three targets. First one to knock down three targets would win. Judd immediately got his ladder done first, but when he was throwing the balls, he was having trouble with his aim. Phillip caught up, and decided to underhand throw his balls. Phillip knocked down his first two targets. Judd was able to get one target down. Phillip hit the final target and won his first duel. Judd was upset, and threw his buff in the fire. At camp, Rob and Terry bonded over camp life. RC and Alison noticed how close they were getting and brought in Francesca and Jerri. “We know that you both got on the wrong side of Rob on your seasons,” RC told them. “I’d love to pull you guys in and maybe align.” Jerri liked the idea, considering she voted Rob out on Heroes vs. Villains and Francesca agreed, since he voted HER out on Redemption Island. “This game is not just about rivals on opposing tribes, but other rivals, like my rival Boston Rob,” Francesca said in confessional. At the Enemies beach, Aras and Colby bonded with Domenick and Angelina. Domenick said that the four of them could do some serious damage, “We have me as the brains, Aras as the brawn, and Angelina as the beauty, and then we have Colby, our moral compass,” Dom said. The four of them laughed about it, and Aras suggested that they try to get Margaret on their side so they could have the majority against Russell. Russell could sense that other groups were forming. “Abi and NaOnka are close, Colby and Aras are close,” he said, “I need to find myself a solid ally, and I think Angelina is a villainous player I’d love to align with.” Russell pulled aside Angelina and asked her if she’d be willing to work with him. Angelina said that her options were all open. “Russell may be a good person to use as a shield, and I’d probably much rather have him on my side than Margaret, somebody who could clearly fly under the radar,” Angelina said. At the immunity challenge, the tribes had to shoot baskets by throwing balls into hoops and the other tribe defending. The challenge brought out some rough match-ups like Corinne and Sugar and Domenick and Chris. In the end, Rob, Terry, and Chris dominated for the Foes and blew out the other tribe, who didn’t score a single basket. Back at camp, Colby was embarrassed about his tribe’s performance. Colby, Aras, Angelina, and Dom decided on Russell as the obvious target, and Margaret said she was on board with it. Angelina pulled aside Dom and asked if maybe they shouldn’t go after Russell. “He’s a good shield to have,” Angelina tried persuading Dom. Domenick thought that it was too risky. “Who would you wanna go after?” Dom asked. Angelina told him that they should go for Margaret, because she was just going to slide her way to the end. Domenick said that he’d much rather go after Russell. “What if he has an idol? He’s the king of idols!” Angelina said. This caught Dom’s attention. “You’re right,” Dom said. Domenick said he’d feel more comfortable going after NaOnka or Abi than Margaret, because Margaret was easy to get along with, whereas NaOnka and Abi were lazier in camp and didn’t really talk to anyone else. Angelina seemed okay with this plan, as it kept Dom on her side and allowed her to work with Russell on the side. Angelina approached Russell, and Russell was happy that the target wasn’t on him, and that he could pull Sugar into the vote. Abi and NaOnka didn’t talk much strategy, and Abi said that she assumed the tribe was going to go after Russell. NaOnka said that maybe they could make a move and try to blindside Colby. “Colby and Aras are tight, and he’s already had so many tries at this game,” she said. NaOnka and Abi tried talking to Sugar, saying that Sugar could get her revenge on Colby and vote him out. “Colby did me wrong in Heroes vs. Villains,” Sugar said, “so I think I’d be okay with that.” Russell approached Sugar, and Sugar said she was going to vote Colby. Russell knew that for his, Angelina, and Dom’s plan to blindside Abi and NaOnka to work, he needed Sugar’s vote. Russell told her that Colby was more beneficial in challenges, and Sugar had a tough time going along with it. At tribal council, Russell said that he felt the immense target, but felt like he was helpful in challenges and vital around camp. Colby said that he never respected Russell, and he wanted him gone as soon as possible. Domenick said that the vote would likely clear some things up and keep around the people who put in their weight at camp. At the vote, Abi and NaOnka voted for Colby, while Colby, Margaret, and Aras voted for Russell. Domenick, Angelina, and Russell voted for NaOnka. It was down to Sugar’s vote…and the vote went to…NaOnka. Sugar had decided to listen to Russell, knowing it was safer for the tribe to just get the weaker physical player out. NaOnka made her way to Redemption Island, upset at her tribe but hoping she could eventually win her way back.
