PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: Alec and Michael reassured Jenna that the plan was still to boot Courtney next, hoping she wouldn’t win immunity. Jenna still didn’t know if she could entirely trust the boys, but knew there wasn’t any way to split them up, as the most she could get was a tie vote and nobody was going to beat Michael or Alec in fire making. At the immunity challenge, the contestants read a story, and then were asked questions testing their memory skills. Alec was upset because he was hoping for a physical or endurance challenge. Alec was first out, followed by Courtney, which led to Jenna and Michael going to a sudden death match. Jenna was able to edge Michael out and take the win. Back at camp, Jenna cried tears of joy, saying that all she needed now was one more win, and she’d be in the final two. She was so proud of herself and grateful, knowing her mom was looking down and proud of her. Alec and Michael didn’t panic too much, and both practiced fire in case Courtney and Jenna voted together. Courtney approached Jenna asking if it was her going home so she didn’t have to waste her time learning to make fire. Jenna said that Courtney should still learn how to make fire to prove herself and her worth instead of giving up. Courtney tried making one, but knew it was pretty hopeless. At tribal, Jenna said that she held pretty much all the power. “I know Alec and Michael are voting together, and they can only vote for Courtney, so this means I can either send Alec or Michael to fire with Courtney, or I can just send Courtney out of the game,” Jenna said. She then turned to Courtney and asked if she wanted to make fire. Courtney said, “Whatever you want to do. It’s your vote.” Jenna was annoyed by this, and said “If you wanna fight for it, fight for it. Fight for your spot.” Courtney shrugged. When the votes were read, Courtney voted for Michael (the easier person to go against should she be in a tiebreaker), but Jenna decided to just vote Courtney out, not respecting her attitude about making fire. Alec, Michael, and Jenna were unified in the vote, and Courtney became the penultimate juror, proud of the distance she made in the game already. It was time for Alec, Jenna, and Michael to face their final immunity challenge.
